Lol, "I love America, but I hate these sets of laws". Who the fuck you think sets those laws? The people who rule the country you claim to be patriotic towards.
So you can't be patriotic towards your people? Or your culture? It has to always go back to the government and who set the laws? That's what I was saying earlier about an infinite number of people out there on this planet today who don't agree with everything their respective governments do, but yet have deep pride and connection to their people and their culture. If you think "patriotism" is that black & white, to where it only means you support everything that your government does and what laws It creates -- then you're about as simple minded as it gets. You keep talking about how stupid those hicks are that live by you -- but all in all in reality you're every bit as simple minded and pea fucking brained as they are.

So, no, I don't think the globe sucks. That's about the dumbest shit I heard all day and I live next to hicks.
You don't think that? But didn't you just say earlier that you're not going to move because "you're just going to end up in another cesspool"?
Quote:
I have options of moving to more rural areas with waaaaay less governance but, then again, I don't have the money to even move outta the states.
It's really not that hard, bro. I mean unless you're some burned out loser hippie with no job and no future, which you very well may be. Get a fucking job and save up instead of blowing all your money on getting high, and maybe you can take the fuck off on outta here. See I've been saving money annually for years now, and guess what, I can still blow money on getting high AND I could take the fuck off out of the country right now if I wanted to go that route.
Meanwhile you're the one bitching and whining about anybody even having the nerve to consider themselves patriotic -- yet you can't even move out of your own zip code let alone out of the country
I'm done with you, dude. Waste of time. I hope those fucking rednecks piss you the fuck off some more so you can sit there in your shack all heated and angry, yet can't do shit about it with your broke ass

The only solution you pose is anarchy, which would be interesting, but in a world of 7 billion people not really plausible.
The government extorts taxes to build roads through private companies, not actual government DOT or anything. If you refuse to take your kids to school, in most places in the US, they will be taken from you and put in another home or program. That is all along the lines of kidnap / extortion, literally. The state can't justify it, in my mind.
And I don't propose full-scale Anarchism. It can't happen. Too many people have been raised in a way (often DUE to state) to believe it's perfectly logical to harm one another for personal desires. Anarchism is, however, perfectly, achievable on a smaller scale. Many Anarchistic societies have sustained themselves in the past century, until government interference. Shit, even agriculture gave rise, we lived in egalitarian societies that were extremely sustainable, peaceful, and at ease.
My rebuttal is to not have kids - I think it's asinine to bring kids into a savage world like ours Anarchism can only last for a certain amount of time before power takes over - look at Germany circa WW1 and 2 - they were left in a near state of chaos and Hitler took over.

How is serving in the military or voting going to fix our current system? I vote, but not because it will fix anything. The whole process is a huge waste of my time, but I'm an idealist so I have to vote. Me voting doesn't do shit. Serving in the military is really just contributing to the dysfunction of the world, so if anything that is the opposite of fixing the broken system.
I didn't say it was gonna fix the system, of course that's ridiculous. I just don't like people who bitch about the military who were never in it I for example never killed any brown babies, though many people assume I eat them for breakfast since I'm a veteran. The bottom line is that 'freedom isn't free' as I'm sure you've heard, and without an active military this country would be taken over by other's who DO believe in such a thing. It's a necessary evil in a world of imperfect people.

Don't burn out too quick, sweetheart. We haven't even begun. Patriotism is generally defined as an attachment or love for one's nation. Today, 'nation' is generally defined as a country. In the past, not so much so. It could include cultural aspects beyond the nation. Not so much now. And I love the assumption that you think I'm broke. I got a job. I make good money. I also have to pay half my paycheck to the state for victimless crimes that I was convicted of simply for being 'near' the person. Remember, you're on the Shroomery. I'd be willing to be most people here have committed crimes so let's not go down that route. Lots of assumptions on your end and no logic or valid points. Just callin' me broke haha. Yeah, if it's a nation, I don't support it. I'd move to it if it had less restrictions than the US, however, which is entirely subjective based on your lifestyle. I'll always say "fuck a state", but don't have many options to move out of a state, dipshit.
By your argument, it would seem that if one doesn't actively support a state, he's a broke fuck. Ohhh, this is great!

I'm not saying I'd have kids. I'd be terrified for them. Besides, i'm too wild for 'em now. And Anarchism isn't synonymous with chaos. Government has killed FARRRRR more than any anarchistic society could even attempt to. Anarchism is simply a desire for a society free of rulers and oppression. It is quite achievable. Until a mod or admin steps in to dictate or otherwise censor this topic, this is Anarchism, in a sense. We are both freely speaking to one another without hierarchical interference... not that it doesn't happen on Shroomery, lol.
