Both i picked up a whole box of them at a garage sale, sopme have a design on them though but a few are crystal clear

Ive been keeping an eye out for those big round glass decanters big bulbus base and slim neck. Get one of those and use a diamond bit dremel bit and give it some holes

just posted this in another thread but are there any special techniques used to streak these? i find it much different then when i used petri's as my space seems limited as do my hand movements, it feels liek i need to hover over the plates with no pours? maybe add how you go about using them

You can hold the plate side ways or upside down if your streaking spores.

If your loop is long enough you don't need to get too close. I think there's a video of me putting spores on a pasty plate in my journal.

I did all my plates by just scraping the print with my scalpel and poking the agar lol

I just keep thinking how I want to build a bad ass SAB like that. That thing has gotta at least partially contribute to your rate of long-term success, at least where random chance comes in.

It looks like a sweet Sab, mine is 13 inches high and my jars clang getting the last bit of grains out for g2g. It's a big improvement from my first Sab though.

My first SAB was really short G2G was almost impossible. I can stack qt jars 3 high in this one and still have head room.
