Thanks. Dang, they started dropping spores today and are not that big.

The first pictures are the mushrooms that were dropping their white spores on the foil that I had under them. The second pictures is the rest of my BRF cakes with the others.

oh gawd. Those do not look healthy at all man. I don't even know. Try again man. It looks like mold grew on the cakes too, possibly from soaking up the water from the perelite. Don't let the experience discourage you.

Whoa! Those need a lot more air.

Were you fanning at all along with the misting?

Like Midnight said; don't be discouraged. Starting out (still am), I grew allot of mold. And my shrooms didn't look so hot.

I havn't been fanning a lot after misting. Is it best to put an actual fan on them?

I don't have enough experience to offer exact solutions, but a direct fan would dry them out too much. You would need some type of humidifier in there too.

Just mist a couple times a day, then I take the lid and fan em with it. I'm not an expert at all I'm just wondering what that white fuzz is.. is that a result of low fae or some sort of mold. Probably lack of air but maybe post your pic over on the contamination forum and ask them what they think.

I too am no expert but, I agree, that fanning with the lid helps reduce the long thin stems by reducing CO2. I'd say 1-3 times per day and you want to get the air moving a bit, you're trying to get the CO2 out which is a bit heavier than the other ambient gases... I think. Attaching a computer vent fan with a power plug on a timer might be the easier way.
If you have a humidity gauge in there, what does the humidity top out at? If it's a bit low I'd consider taping over some of the vent holes in your humidity box.
Again if I were you and was looking to clone the oyster mushroom fruit-bodies or cakes I currently had growing and wanted something simpler than agar I would want know to about cloning on pasteurized cardboard. It is easy and low contaminate probability. I have had no problems putting the butts from store bought oyster mushrooms on to pasteurized cardboard in freezer bags for cloning. No need for center cutting, I have torn up whole stems with my (cleaned) bare hands. From there go to a slightly cleaner style transfer to PCed grain.
(Oyster stem pieces just starting on cardboard)

If we are all thinking the white fuzzy at the bottom of the cakes where it meets the perlite that's stuck to the cake is mold I would like to counter-postulate that it may just be mycelial regrowth from being set on wet perlite in high CO2. I'm no expert though.
If I where you I would harvest what's there if you haven't yet. Dunk the cakes. Put them back in there on their foil, make sure they don't sit on the foil in leftover dunk water after being set there for a bit. I would work on ventilation more for next flush. And I'd think about checking my humidity %. Also, congratulations on growing some mushrooms!

Oysters need tons of FAE. Look into rigging up a cool mist to push in fresh air or a small computer fan with an ultramist on a timer or humidistat. Also vent your exhaust out a nearby window or vent if possible especially around harvest time due to spores. If you want to take the easier route you can try cracking the lid and misting/fanning often. Or if your conditions are right outside just fruit in a shady location.

Still though, if he fixes the FAE these cakes should give him another flush correct?
I think he should keep trying to fix the problem with these that way next run will be tits!
It's not over yet! I don't think theres mold there, but i could be wrong..

When at least expected it yesterday, I got some decent mushrooms actually. So that was great. I'll definitely keep trying also.
