    #22134585 - 08/24/15 09:05 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:
Found these growing on grassy shady lawn of an office park.

Are they active psilocybin?

Many thanks

This is an Amanita from section Amidella.

See if you can find a good match here:

Could possibly be Macrolepiota procera. But i wouldnt eat it. its certainly not one of the active species. Im still fairly new to identifying, but it looks like the common parasol shroom at first glance. Possibly edible but not worth the risk as to several lookalikes to it are potentially deadly. Very healthy specimen tho! happy hunting!

Heres a page i found with a good description of them to help you identify further.

http://mushroom-collecting.com/mushroomparasol.html

keep in mind there are TONS of different species and without professional identification i would not suggest consuming any mushroom you find in the wild.
