I'm having a hard time finding info on when to start patches.. If I start them within the next month... When can I expect to see results? I'm wanting to do several outdoor patches of p azure, p ovoid, p cubensis, and some edibles like crimini.
i figure you can do outdoor cubes and crimini almost any time right? I know cubes at least fruit pretty fast and in a wide range of temps, but I hear ovoids and azures are more picky.

I don't know for sure, but I'd say you can plant pretty much anytime the weather is right and is likely to stay that way. As long as its damp and warm enough to promote quick colonization. It seems to me that people recommend planting in certain seasons merely to get maximize the chances of getting fruits the following fall.
I say just plant the things and be patient. You'll forget about it and one day the mother-load will land at your feet
cubes fruit in warm temps so if you're in a warm climate you can do it anytime. I've read threads about cold fruiting cubes too, so they can fruit colder as well.
Azurescens require cold temps to fruit so they will fruit in fall I believe.

Ill just put em in whenever theyre ready then. I'm ordering my syringes in the next couple of days.
my plan is to do multiple azure and ovoid patches throughout the woods behind my house. if i work hard enough maybe i can make them go native! Certainly they have a better chance with me on their side than a wild mushroom who's just relying on plain ol spores and the wind to carry em right?
