Azurescens/Cyanescens Fruiting time?
    #2213069 - 01/01/04 12:24 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Greetings,

I have failed to find an answer to my problem with P. Azurescens and P. Cyanescens in any of the FAQs.

Plastic containerns with fully colonized maple sawdust has spent well over a month in a temperature around 8-12 degrees celcius without signs of fruiting. The colonised substrate was once sprayed with water, to see if lack of humidity was to blame, with the result that excess water collected in the containers and was poured out due to fear of infection. Lids of containers lifted almost every day (mostly out of curiosity).

Is this normal? How long for fruiting to start? Any advice? Essential to use wood CHIPS and not sawdust?

Grateful for any advice!

Peace

Dum

They should be outdoors getting plently of fresh air... They do take a while to fruit. As I have heard of them being cultivated in a fridge, I have never seen pictures of them actually fruited.

Its best to have them in an outdoor bed though...started up in the spring then fruited in the fall.
