Want another number?
Quote:
Of all unintended pregnancies, 4 in 10 are aborted. There are approximately 1.21 million abortions in America each year. There has been a steady decline in abortions since 1980. Each year, about 2% of all women aged 15-44 have an abortion.
Abortion of human lives in the US proceeds at the same rate as did the Holocaust in the early 1940s.

No, it wasn't proven incorrect. Some questions were raised by an experiment at CERN, where they may have shown that the speed of light is not constant. However, Einstein's theory of relativity and his conservation of energy equation are still used in Quantum mechanics every day. It is generally accepted to be correct.
Newton's second law, F=ma, is also used extensively today. Even though it doesn't account for quantum effects.
Both laws are good enough to use them as truths, unless there are special circumstances that invalidate them.

Maybe ruminants can't, I don't know. Others should have no problem since, as I said, meat is much easier to digest then plants and herbivores have a much more comprehensive digestive system with longer guts and whatnot. I do t downplay my culture's failiurs, bit white people have no pride anymore. Most cultures have done bad things. We didn't sacrifice thousands of other people from other tribes on top of a pyramid to appease our gods, and we kind of brought industry and technology out. We have plenty to be proud of. Yeah, it probably 'rivled' smaller European cities, but they were still a bunch of human sacrificers who did it by the thousands.

I can definitely say that Japanese internment camps, and the holocaust were much more of a human rights violation than sacrificing people people religiously at a much smaller scale.
At least they weren't treated like scum and starved for years.
Industry would have arised even if europe never rose to a prominent power. The middle east had quite a few technological advancements, as did the natives of the Americas. Not to mention the giant technological advancements the chinese had.
If anything, europe fucked the world over, and the ideology still fucks the world over today. Why else would people blatantly not give a shit about destroying the planet to make a quick buck if it weren't for corporate fueled greed.
I agree, many cultures have done bad things, but you are downplaying the shit that western culture has caused by pretending that they were the most beneficial thing to happen to the world, so any thing they did wrong didn't matter.
But I think white people should have as much pride as anyone else. It's not racist to have pride where you are from.

http://www.vegetarismus.ch/vegepet/tyke.htm
A Violent Birth
Georges and Margaret Westbeau, standing outside the thick steel bars of the cage, watched nervously. Inside, a vicious, raging beast baring razor claws and glistening fangs, roared. Flinging herself at the couple, who watched from barely three feet away, her suffering amber eyes defied their presence.
Always, in the past, this lioness destroyed her offspring as soon as they were born. Four times in the last seven years, her powerful jaws had crushed her newborn cubs, furiously throwing them against her cage's bars where they tumbled, lifeless.
Denying the normal instincts of motherhood, what possessed this lioness? Her life mocked its former freedom. She lived a caged animal, taken from the wild and tortured by those who captured her. Did she feel that by destroying her cubs they would be spared the humiliation that she endured?
Suddenly, the newborn cub came flying towards the people anxiously watching. Georges quickly grabbed the cub through the bars before it could be killed. Its right front leg dangled helplessly from its mother's brutal jaws. In the face of such fury the only thing the human could say was, 'You poor little tike'.
The Westbeaus took the three-pound 'Little Tyke' to their Hidden Valley Ranch near Seattle and there it joined the menagerie of other animals including horses, cattle, and chickens. Curious peacocks lined the housetop, kittens peered through a picket fence, and two terriers danced with joy for the new addition to the household. Drinking bottles of warm milk, Little Tyke began the long road to recovery.
Mysterious reaction
With the advice of experts the Westbeaus began weaning Little Tyke onto solid food at three months. Leaving only a favorite doll, they removed most of her rubber toys, replacing them with bones from freshly slaughtered beef. They carried the small cub to the bones. Unexpectedly, she violently threw up!
Experts told them in no uncertain terms that lions couldn't live without meat. In the wild, lions ate only flesh - eleven pounds a day for an adult female. Alarmed at Little Tyke's strange behavior, they wondered at how they could introduce meat into her diet? In the meantime, they continued feeding Little Tyke baby cereal mixed with milk.
A well meaning friend suggested mixing beef blood with milk, in increasing proportions. Given milk containing ten drops of blood, Little Tyke would have nothing to do with it. They mixed in five drops of blood, and hid that bottle. As she sucked on the plain milk they quickly switched bottles. Again she refused it. In desperation they added one drop of blood to a full bottle of milk, but Little Tyke refused this bottle as well, and they could only stare in amazement. Another friend suggested putting plain milk in one hand, and milk mixed with hamburger in the palm of the other hand. Little Tyke readily licked the milk from one hand, but when Georges changed hands, she immediately turned away. Sensing her distress, Georges wiped his hands on a nearby towel and picked her up. Hissing in fear and cringing away, she looked sick from the danger-smell of meat on his hand. She only settled down when given a fresh bottle of milk held in washed hands.
Thousand-dollar reward
At nine months old and weighing sixty-five pounds, Little Tyke had the splints and bandages on her leg taken off for the last time. She slowly learned to depend on the healed leg, and mingled with other animals on the ranch.
Since the ranch didn't earn enough income to make ends meet, the Westbeaus ran a small cold storage plant in town. Little Tyke came with them when they went to work and word got around about this vegetarian lioness. When she was four years old, the Westbeaus advertised a thousand dollar reward for anyone who could devise a method tricking Little Tyke into eating meat. Numerous plans met with failure since Little Tyke refused to have anything to do with flesh.
The answer
The caretakers of this gentle animal sought out animal experts, always asking them about diet. Finally, one young visitor set their mind at ease. With serious eyes he turned to them and asked, 'Don't you read your Bible? Read Genisis 1:30, and you will get your answer.' At his first opportunity Georges read in astonishment, 'And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.' At that point, after four years, the Westbeaus finally stopped worrying.

The west is kind of more diverse then just one culture. The comparison is unfair. So all of the west is responsible for the holocaust? I'm talking more English and American culture. Not every white country is the same. I'm not saying we haven't done bad things. All cultures do. We were pretty fucked up when the Spanish and English got here, but everything pre WWI is kind of different. Yeah, the the Middle East leading I dustry. What a joke. We have no reason to believe that. The fact is, it did start here and to make assumptions it would have just sprang up is unfounded. Besides, the muslems would get scared all this technology would take attention from Allah.

Radical islam wasn't around up until recently. The majority of radical islam formed form the US intervention in the middle east. I know that Western culture is very varied, but I can state plenty of atrocities that the US had done, or the dutch, or the germans.
But western culture as a whole is the cause for systematic racism. It is also responsible for the massacre and displacement of indigenous people, throughout the world! Even ones that offered only gifts and help, and even were allies to the end.
Did you know that up until around the 1970s, it was illegal for natives to practice traditional culture in the US? The US has caused tons of atrocities within the past 50 years alone.
The middle east was a haven of creativity and knowledge before the crusades came and fucked everything up. China was leading in technology at the time as well. If europe didn't decide to try and fuck the world over, we would live in a very different world. But technology would still have developed, most likely similar as the rate now.

All Islam is radical pretty much, unless they aren't following the book. They follow their book in the Islamic world. The west created racism? You are just spewing liberal crap now. Yeah, the crusades weren't what toppled the middle East, it was a certain group of people flattening g Baghdad in the 1200's. The crusades were retaliation for centuries of encroachment by Islam. They take over, displace non Muslems, and make Christians pay a tax. Keep riding that six hundred year old time when the middle East was relatively OK, and ignore today when it is an intolerant place where only a moron would want to go You probably think Palestinians are in 'retaliating' against New aggression too

Palestine is retaliating because they have been oppressed an invaded by isreal for quite a long time. Not to mention because of the spite of their land just being given away.
I didn't say they caused racism, I'm saying the west caused the systematic racism of many groups of people to such an extent of it treating other races like trash. Blacks were not systematically oppressed until the dutch and much of the americas participated in heavy slave trade. Native americans were seen as savages and not even human by much of America by the 1700s.
The west repressed cultures, and caused some of the biggest religious onslaught that had ever existed.
Racism existed, but it was not to the extent of murdering, enslaving, or oppressing whole groups of people based solely on the color of thier skin or where they are from.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. Including in the US. It has radicals just as Christianity does, but radicals do not make up the majority. You're just spewing anti muslim propaganda that they are all terrible, when in reality they aren't. The US is to blame for a lot of the radical islam groups rising up.

"Muslims" are about 600 years behind the West.
In 13 "Muslim" countries, people can be executed for being an atheist.
It is also standard Muslim belief that women are basically slaves to men who can be beaten if they disobey -- including if they refuse to have sex whenever their husband wants. (In other words -- they can be raped.) They can, and have been stoned to death for adultery. For instance, in Somalia, a 13 year old girl was gang raped. When she reported it to the police, she was arrested and charged with adultery. She was then sentenced and stoned to death.
It is hard to sympathize with the Palestinans when they are into the same things. For instance, a 26 year old male student who became an atheist, had a website that was critical of Islam. He was arrested, jailed and tortured. Many people were calling for the death penalty. He ended up fleeing the West Bank and was given asylum in France. He was sentenced to 71/2 years in jail in absentia.
