Wow, you're really grasping a straws.

To say "go yell at God" pretty much implies the Judeo-Christian one. It wouldn't, most likely, refer to Buddhism, since most people don't think that they believe there is a "God". It wouldn't refer to Hindu, Greek, or any other with multiple Gods, since he said "God" and not "Gods".

People don't usually make a general statement like that if they're referring to something other than what most of the readers would assume they're talking about. If it was a God other than the Judeo-Christian one, he would have said so. Otherwise, the statement would have been misleading.

That's not to mention that the poster didn't respond to my post by saying "I'm not talking about that God."

I think you're just trying to win an argument and aren't really thinking about what you're saying.

You're still getting hung up on one minor detail rather than addressing the entire post.

Don't get hung up on this too but.. only in a Christian's little world, where Christianity is the end all, be all of religion, does God refer to or suggest the Christian God. Just because a civilization had multiple Gods, doesn't mean they always called them Gods. Ares wasn't the "Gods of war" He was the God of war. They had Gods for all kinds of shit, and when one was relevant to whatever they were talking about, they said God.

Here you go, a nice big ass list of Gods of hunting, any of which Amantia could have been referencing by saying "God": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hunting_deities

I don't get your point. If "Amanita" had meant something other than the Judeo-Christian God, (which, by the way, is also the Islamic God), I would think he would have said so by now. Also, he was quoting several passages from the Christian bible if I recall, so it seems pretty clear he was talking about the God of the Bible.

I don't really want to get into an argument about the interpretation of religion but ---

I already posted something about that there are biblical scholars who say that Christ didn't give fish to the people, and that the word was mistranslated and should have been fishweed, a type of seaweed.

As far as the Gods who were "hunters" --

As I mentioned before, there are physical animals, and there are spiritual animals, (like the "beast" in Revelations). I am a "hunter" of the spiritual animal -- and it is good to kill the spiritual "beast" (also known as the "ego").

 He said God, you quoted the Bible, he started quoting it back. Then you fucking ran with this Bible quoting bullshit instead of offering any real argument.

And of course you don't get the point of what I was saying. You're dense as hell and there is obviously not a single rational thought clunking around in that head of yours.

The thing is,there is a line between cruelty and farming/hunting animals for food. The point is, there is a reason behind the deaths. Once someone makes such things torturous is when it becomes wrong.

But livestock is one of the things that contributed to the success of humans. As did being a good hunter before that. The ways to kill these animals is almost always quick and painless. Slitting the throat, breaking the neck, ect.

But let us use the ideology of a lot of North American Indigenous religious beliefs for an example. If something is an omnivore, or a carnivore, it eats meat. That is nature, and we are just a part of that as well. But killing what you need is what is right. Respecting the animal you killed, or thanking it for it's death is commonplace.

Fine line between food and respect for the food really does for you and how much you enjoy the flavors and understand the sacrifice so to speak. If cows were sentient I'd think twice but they aren't eve close, don't deserve wholesale torture(as pointed out that's not the point) but meat is a very natural thing to eat. Big fish eat little fish, big mammals eat smaller mammals. Truly natural

Right -- when you have no substance to your argument - try to look superior by using insult.

By the way - he quoted from the Christian Bible, whereas I quoted from the Hebrew one. And his quotes were by way of offering advise on how to post - which, I would think, he was doing because he was into those passages - or considers himself a "Christian".

Ok -- so here's something from one of his posts

Anyone who would choose to disprove Christian scripture, explain to me the prophecies written 'back in the day' that have all come true and can not be discredited/disproven no matter how hard people try to.  We'll use scientific proven fact, study your history and compare it to prophecy, then get back to me.

Big elephants don't eat small anything animal.

Fierce gorillas eat strong bananas -- and no meat.

Bonobos are vegetarians.

Guess they're not natural.

As opposed to what? Having no strength in yours and hiding behind scripture? No, those are my actual judgements of you. If you take them as insults, maybe it's because I'm right? Either way I'm done with all this ring around the rosy shit.

I brought up a question on the second page you're still yet to address. Start there. There are quite a few more you've refused to address. Actually you've refused to address almost every single question and post in this thread because throwing random scripture out is not addressing it.

They are natures vegetarians, for the record though in the wild gorillas do eat meat when it suits them. There are a lot more animals that eat other animals. Dinosaurs were this way too natural meat eaters, vegetarians  and those that eat both.

Supposedly, 3% of a wild gorilla's diet comes from insects -- that's the "meat" they eat. How much they're eating insects because they happen to be on the leaves that are being eaten, I don't know.

There was a lion, that I know of, who chose to be vegetarian also.

Cows and foraging animals probably end up eating some insects that are on the plants they're eating.

I don't consider it "natural" to eat meat. It is a taught, unneeded behavior and it is less healthy than an informed vegetarian diet.

Yeah -- chimpanzees are meat eaters. They kill each other too and have wars between different groups. Unlike the Bonobos who are vegetarians, and don't have wars, (by and large), don't kill each other and are not monogamous. They also seem to have a matriarchal society (female dominated).

That's because meat is fucking delicious.

I practically get hard over rack of ribs, a thick steak or a brisket that's been cooked for 8 hours. :drooling: My ideal meal is like 80% meat. Something along the lines of grilled/smoke brisket, sausage, ribs and one side of some type of "vegetably crap" maybe potato salad, maybe baked beans..

If I could get away with it, I would live on meat alone. You probably won't come across many people who love it to the extent I do. Unfortunately good meat isn't cheap, and I don't have a carnivorous system.

I still say we should kill them faster. Feed the animals all the vegetables so we can fatten them up faster and harvest them for meat and pay less for it.

I'd eat OP if could

Chimpanzees are OMNIVORES. They have evolved to be able to have a varied diet. Humans are omnivores as well. We wouldn't have succeeded as a species if we were not omnivores. So many places people have to have lived solely on a meat based diet.

Look at the Inuit for example. The majority of their food comes from whales. They wouldn't be able to survive in the climate without it.

As I said, there was a lion who chose to be a vegetarian.

I think it's possible that any creature can become intelligent enough to become a vegetarian.

It was Entheogens that led me to become one. Entheogens are similarly available to all wild animals. Although I don't know of Entheogens in the oceans, I'm sure there must be some.

I guess saying "End of Argument?" is quite a terrible insult. Maybe (following your example), I should go with the much milder "after everything stupid you say, makes you look quite dull".

I think I'll stick with the much nastier "End of Argument???".

Of those who detox from d.a.m. (heroin) using A.A.'s methods  75% go back. But, using medical nutrition, only 25% go back.

You have to be really knowledgeable about nutrition in order to successfully detox from meat to veg.
