Poison oak in in the sub

Hey everyone, first of all thanks to everyone who contributes and participates in these forums. These have are such an incredible resource and the world is better for them
An edible mushroom cultivator got a rash, probably from poison oak in the donkey poo.
The donkey most likely was munching on some poison oak, and the urushiol(allergenic oil) made it thru into the poo.
question is would fungi grown on such a substrate break down the oils, or would they be potentially dangerous to eat?
if no one answers, experiments will be carried out with epi pen on hand
thanks yall

Laccase was first characterized from the latex of the Japanese lacquer tree (Rhus vernicijha) as the thermolabile substance responsible for catalysing the oxidative polymerization of lipophilic alkene-catechol compounds (e.g. urushiol) to form a hard black lacquer (summarized by Schubert, 1965). Laccase is of widespread distribution in fungi. Increased phenol oxidase activity and pigmentation have often been reported to be associated with rapid cell growth and with the formation of primordia and their subsequent growth to fruiting bodies in both basidiomycetes (Leonard & Phillips, 1973; Wood & Goodenough, 1977; Wood, 1980) and ascomycetes (Esser, 1968; Wong & Willetts, 1974), and also in the development of sporangiophores of the slime mould Physarum polycephalum (Daniel, 1963).
Most species of basidiomycota will break it down especially lentinula edodes but whether or not it is fully decomposed I am not sure. Allergies can be induced with very small amounts of exposure so do carry the pen and be careful! My dad was horribly allergic to it so i feel your pain

I would be surprised if the mushroom would uptake but not use urushiol in the fruiting body. I would also be interested to find out if it lasts through the pasteurization process as its melting temp is 140 F and it is an oil so i would imagine it wouldn't hang around in the dung for very long during pasteurization. I wouldn't experiment with it without some quantitative testing like GC or MS if I had an alergy though (unless it was a mild one).

Thanks guys!
Ahh reassuring science. My hunch is also that it will not be an issue, and I am glad its not a certain danger
I will carefully rub it on my sensitive friend before consuming it hehehe.
fyi for anyone with similar questions;the universal edibility test:

the old school way of testing
Let us know how it turns out so we have more information, allergies are very important and I'm very interested if poison oak can be quickly composted and neutralized by mycelium.
