Recommend influential electronica artists: fill in my blanks

I enjoy the early days of electronica as much as contemporary, always favoring more experimental artists. I'm more interested in how it evolved through the decades nowadays, but could always use more from its birth.
Gary Numan is one of my favorite oldies, kraftwerk is okay. On the IDM side I used to LOVE U-ziq, luke vibert, and aphex twin are amazing.
I love the minimalist ways of daft punk but have rarely heard other bands achieve greatness in this realm
Gabber: Please recommend some gabber, meaning faster harder electronica. The quickest stuff I listen to is the crystal method.
70's: Huge fan of pink floyds synth work, ozric tentacles is splendid (excuse me if either of those were 80's), would love to hear more 70's era electronica! I've heard a little throbbing gristle, its interesting for sure.
80's/90's Big fan of Nine Inch Nail's electronic work, some of the most detailed/unique synths I've ever heard. I would love it if anybody could point me to any other industrial music that is anything close to NIN. Future sounds of london also rock.
Contemporary guys: Crystal Castles, bonobo, nightmares of wax, the jazzual suspects, god is an astronaut, how to destroy angels.
Amon tobin is another favorite, don't know when he came out.
Random notes: Controlled Bleeding is my favorite fucking band but I seriously doubt anyone here can relate....if you can speak up
I've heard good things about brain eno.

If you like Controlled Bleeding you may also like Noise Unit, Penal Colony, Pygmy Children, Apoptygma Berzerk and Clock DVA.
The NIN synth work is amazing. An artist named Charlie Clouser did alot of collaboration with Reznor and his remix work is out of this world. I do not know of any band projects that he is involved in though...
Some of the great electronic bands from the early days (late 80s\early 90s) would include Eon, CJ Bolland, The Orb, T99 and 808 State.
Minimalist bands in the vein of Daft Punk that I dig include Autechre, J.U.S.T.I.C.E., Legowelt, Dopplereffekt, and Trentemoller.
70s electronic synth? Tangerine Dream had some pretty good stuff. Eno as well, even on the Bowie produced albums like "Low". The Human League's first album "Reproduction" has great synthwork and some of the industrial leanings I think you have with your love of Controlled Bleeding. I haven't check much of their earlier stuff out, but the band Yes was supposed to have some great synth work in the 70s.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

A way better response than I could have hoped for. Thanks so much.
Was starting to think I'd never find another controlled bleeding fan. There's probably only 8-12 songs by them I like, but I'm obsessed.

so which controlled bleeding songs/albums do you like the most? My favorite albums were ination and gilded shadows. A few of my favorite songs are Trang & I, The Drowning, Byways, After The Rain, Brick Dub, As Gravity Fades.
I really like their "opera style" singing, like in "Our Journey Ends" and "Byways." That and their unique electronics...the word I always use to describe their style of synth is 'warm.'

Not super with Contolled Bleeding's albums but I have several industrial compilations with their music on them. "In Penetration" is a track I've really liked by them. I will have to investigate the albums that you mentioned OP.

Have you listened to much New Order?
One of the most important electronic groups of the 1980s without a doubt. Check out these tunes from 808 State and A Guy Called Gerald, two of the most influential electronic tracks of the late 80s/early 90s!

I'm enjoying clock DVA's buried dreams album so far
Had tried a couple songs by penal colony. They weren't quite my thing, but from what I heard it sounds like they may vary a lot album to album so I haven't written them off yet
