Top 5 offense Top 5 QB Top 5 RB Top 3 WR Young, fast defense Great coaching (my favorite player of all-time Joey Porter is the new OLB coach)
Ben was quoted as saying "We could score 30 a game". I think we've got the firepower to do it. A great young RB opens up Brown & the passing game. We haven't seen the best football out of some of these phenoms, so let the highlight reels ensue.
Breakout players: Ryan Shazier, Martavis Bryant
Key Injuries: Senquez Golson / Rookie / CB
Concerns: The defense has holes. There is a lot of "Jarvis Jones bust" buzz amongst NFL fans. Bud Dupree had a less than impressive camp. Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu are nowhere near to getting their shoes filled.
Positives: We have one of the best offenses in the league. Undoubtedly the most talented offensive unit the black and gold has had since my birth in 1987. Ben is the second best quarterback in the history of the team. Pittsburgh's middle linebacker unit is going to make some noise this year. Lawrence Timmons is coming off his first Pro Bowl year and Ryan Shazier is a first rounder (2014) who has the mind of a playmaker.
Make some noise if you rep the black and gold!!!!

Pouncey is out for the year and this will expose a huge weakness as Ruthlessraper is not so mobile nowadays....I look forward to seeing some good ass poundings by some pretty stout AFC North competition....especially the Ravens....too bad Ngata is gone.

Listen to the Steelers whining about their headset problems, Tomlin saying it always happens there. Man I just lost some respect for PIT. When does Maravis Bryant get back so they can be good again?

That's a really weird question. They could have 10 Lombardis in a 10 year span but they would still be that team QB'd by a rapist playing in that state where Sandusky banged a bunch of little boys while Joe Paterno turned a blind eye and allowed it to happen.

They looked good today. I think they will get better through out the year also. Especially on defense. Offense is dangerous. Leveon Bell is probably the best running back in the league and deanglo williams looks good. He will be a good back up. He's got some age too him though I don't think he would last a full year but he will be good getting 5 to 10 touches a game when bell gets back.
Kicking game can possibly be a huge problem. Cost us a game last week, or at least it would have been closer and will possibly cost us a game or two in the future. I think we will miss Suisham this year. He was pretty much automatic from inside the 50.
Pounce being out stinks but we will still do alright without him. I don't understand why they play those guys in preseason anyways. The veterans don't need to be playing preseason the only thing that can happen is an injury. They need to just play the younger guys and sit the vets. That way you don't lose a pro bowl center.
This could be a good year for the steels. It's nice to be a steelers fan when your worst seasons that they have they go 8 and 8 and we're a field goal away from the playoffs. And usually they only have an off year every 5 or 6 years or so.
Now on the other hand, the university of Pittsburgh, I hate them.
Eat shit Pitt!

Who got injured? Leveon Bell was suspended for 2 games. And you don't watch football if you don't see him being the best running back in the league for the next 5 years, look at the numbers he put up last year. Demarco Murray was the only running back better then he was. If bell didn't get hurt last year he might have won the rushing title. And this is his third year, he is hitting his prime and by the end of the year will be by far the best back in the league. And as of right now Leveons BACKUP had the second most rushing yards in the NFL. There's not a better running back,qb,wr, combo in the league.
And they are not overrated in any way. They lost by 7 to the pats? And if suisham wasn't hurt and we had a kicker the game would have been alot closer. Not saying we would have won but not hitting field goals hurts. Suisham is also one of yhe best fg kickers in the NFL. They have a ton of talent.
Defense is still getting acclimated to the new coach and they are very young and will get better.

Or where you even talking about leveon? If you were you need to pay more attention to the game. He's got the best vision and patience I have seen in a running back in a long time. If he stays healthy he will be special.

No.... AP, Jamaal Charles, and Marshawn Lynch are all better, granted they are much farther along in their careers. I wouldn’t even put Bell in the top 5, and i loved Bell coming out of MSU. Temper you expectations dude. Bell tore his ACL before the playoffs and was hurting until like June. Knee Injuries kill careers man. Don’t you remember how good RG3 looked his first year? He is a really good back and he fits your guys style perfectly but that injury is huge and we’ll see how he bounces back this year.
I dont know how you dont remember that dude. It was pretty gross.

The Steelers got obliterated by the pats. Don’t let garbage points trick you, that game wasn’t even close.

Bell was easily the second best back in the league. And when every talking head on every sports channel is saying bell is the next Adrian Peterson that tells you something. I was aware that he was hurt but that's not the reason he missed those games. And no he didn't tear his acl he hyper extended his knee he was only sidelined for a few months. The injury wasn't that severe.
And RG3 situation was completely different.

ESPN overhypes every player who has a good showing, which bell definitely did. Im not saying he’s bad dude, i actually like watching him play he’s a tough runner and i love that. Im just saying temper your expectations. Him and AP dont even play the same way. AP is an all around back. Le’Veon is a bruiser. Ya you can say the injury wasn’t severe all you want he was hurting into training camp. 6 months of pain is bad injury......
How is RG3 any different. He was electric and promising as shit then his knee got fucked, he lost that acceleration and now he sucks...
Injuries have killed many promising careers. I hope he bounces back but he hasn’t even played yet right? Your telling me a guy gets hurt in December and doesn’t play till OCT and its not a bad injury....

Haha. Ya. It has been down hill from that game. Hopefully they turn things around this year. I'm still skeptical especially our field goal kicker who would be sitting on his couch watching on Sundays if our kicker didn't get hurt. People underestimate how valuable a kicker can be. And ours was one of the best in the league. I mean look at old Adam vinateri (sp) without him making field goals the pats would have been in trouble in alot of games.
Also our D is still suspect. They are young and have a new defensive coordinator after dick Lebeau left after 150 years of coaching. They had a good game last week but we will see.
Also RG3 stinks because he can't grasp anyone's offense. They had to dumb it down for him his first year and you can't keep winning with simple offense. NFL defensive coordinators are too smart and figure out offensives quick. His coaches have said hr can't even figure out simple reads or drop backs or defensive schemes. Injuries can ruin careers for some and others they don't bother them as much. Reoccurring injuries and staying healthy is way more important then a single injury. If you keep getting hurt and can't stay on the field your done.
Oh yeah leveon is the best running back in the last 50 years.

Haha ya I guess I ll have to retract that statement. I'm excited about the game today because I ll get to see some ex mountaineer receivers playing for st louis. Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin. I'm hoping Tavon has a breakout year this year. Just not today.
Leveon is looking good early. Has a couple of good receptions and a few ok runs.
