WAIT WHAT HOW DID I GET HERE?! NNOOOOOOO
Uh... well, ok. I like Bernie but I don't believe he has a chance in the general election so I'd probably go with Hillary as well. I'm not the biggest fan of her but I believe she is America's iron lady, no scandal can take her down and she is well-liked by most moderates. I just hope that she takes a cue from Bernie's popularity in the early polls to move her positions a bit to the left. I have high hopes that Obama's successes will pave the way for a leftward shift in American politics in the coming years, we've had way more than enough tax cuts and privatization bullshit going on, it needs to fucking stop.

Why would Hillary move her policies to the left when she's winning?
Don't you think her centrist (read: neocon) agenda is why moderates like her?

You mean the US President that has governed as a puppet for the elite?
Let's see, we have the largest wealth and income inequality in 80 years, that's a "leftward shift in American politics"?

Hitlery is going down in flames. It will just take a while for her to realize it. Obumble is slowly tightening the screws, she messed up and must pay the price. Hopefully she will do some hard time.

The far left doesn't believe there is such a thing as too much tax. As long as someone else is paying it, that is.

How do you account for extremely wealthy left-wingers who actually lobby to pay more taxes? Obviously there are fewer of them than their right-wing greed-headed counterparts, but let's face it, without the monied left, we'd have unmitigated anarchy in this country

Texas is the 12th largest economy in the world. And leads the united states in export revenues at close to 200 Billion dollars with the 6th largest port in the world as well as the best air cargo airport in the world. The largest industries besides oil are technology, biomedical, and defense. Its intellectually dishonest to say the only thing they have going for them is oil.

I would vote Hillary over a Republican, if only for the Supreme Court appointee(s). I know that would drive the right-wing loons crazier than they already are. Granted, I live in one of the bluest of blue states. I really hope the US gets past this political dynasty bullshit though.

When the big economic collapse hits, we can quit worrying about the little stuff. Some say it has started already. Sell your stocks if you have any.

If you wanna say Kansas is disputable, show me one other instance of economic growth, specifically for the middle and working class, in any state or nation that has enacted tax cuts like the ones in Kansas.
Austerity doesn't work. Tax cuts don't work. Deregulation doesn't work. Privatization doesn't work.
We hold these truths to be self evident.

Tax cuts are bad, doesn't meaning raising taxes is the answer.
Letting corporations regulate themselves is bad, doesn't mean government controlling every aspect of the economy is the answer.
Yes, unlike you, I think there's some middle ground.

I'm basing my opinion (that you see only black and white) on this comment:
Quote:
psyconaught said: So higher taxes are always better and 100% government control of every aspect of the economy is best? Are you sure there isn't some sort of middle ground?
...in which you imply that not cutting taxes is the same as raising them, and that the existence of regulation and the public sector is akin to fascism.
