I have had spiky mycelium before but this is really pointy, i dont know if this is okay but im pretty sure it is. i just want to know why this happens? is it caused by too much moisture?

Looks to be aerial myc. I would just leave it covered, doesn't look like it is colonized to 100%.

you will make it fruit prematurely removing the lid like that. Don't look at it for another 5 days. That be my suggestion.

I think irrelevant. I've seen it happen to a PF cake before. Produced just fine. It was fully colonized though.

Alright, thanks brother. I'll be sure not to open it again until Tuesday thats when it should be 100% going by how it has already been colonizing and usually my bulk trays take a week or 2 at most.

That is rhizomorphic mycelium. It's what you would be looking for if you were working with agar. It's good to go. It wouldn't hurt to hit it with a spray bottle of water. Knock those down. You are supposed to be misting in this stage it'd your substrate is dry. Which it is

They're not colonized yet. He should just leave them until 100% colonization.

I spray my bulk substrates if they dry out a little during colonization.
