these people deserved to get busted. they live in a state where they have freedom to grow the plant within reason, and didn't. instead you get greedy and try to pull off a ridiculous mega-grow, which are still illegal for a reason. (namely, that it fucks up natural habitats, especially when you have irrigation systems and trash everywhere).
so yea, glad they got busted. in legal states, play by the rules, don't fuck it up for everyone else with your greed. this grow was obviously all for pure $$$, not for love of the plant. fuck them.

Yep, pure greed involved here. And these "guerrilla grows" are often environmentally very destructive as well.

So what? People who can't, or won't, grow their own need a source of supply. Why should they do without? Why should the growers not profit?
Because you say so?

The thing is to "play by the rules" requires massive amounts of tedious regulations (not necessary regulations such as environmental ones), you must pay massive and unnecessary fines, and have an inspector come through your grow every so often...
Some of these regulations are great, but most of them are put in place just to give marijuana growers a hard time, as well as make the state as much money as possible, so it's no wonder people want to grow with out getting a billion unnecessary and expensive permits and paying huge and unnecessary fines.
In Colorado the marijuana laws are written into the state constitution, it's not just a simple law, and can't be reversed as easily, there's no way a few illegal growers are going to ruin anything for anybody.
And regardless NOBODY DESERVES TO BE PUT IN PRISON FOR GROWING, OWNING, OR CONSUMING A NATURAL PLANT.
I agree, they should have played by the rules, and yes, some of the rules are good things, but the greed is more on the side of the state, and their unnecessary fines and permits drive growers underground, most employees or owners of a dispensary must get "badged", meaning the state has checked and verified you have not committed any crimes, which is good, but they take it so far that people who have benign criminal history and should still be allowed to grow are unable to, maybe these specific people deserved to be shut down, but NOBODY DESERVES TO BE PUT IN PRISON FOR GROWING A PLANT.

Well they may not end up in prison. They could just face huge fines, who knows. But I see this as no different than if you set up some huge tobacco field on someone else's property with irrigation systems jerry rigged and trashing the environment. You have to follow the rules. There's taxes and regulations if you want to get into the big Marijuana industry.

meanwhile the goverments are leaking oil into the oceans, garbage, then there's the fracking, just completely raping all the natural resources, but lets waste a bunch of tax dollars busting these mega marijuana grows because that;'s where the real danger is at.
bullshit, they dont give a fuck about the natural resources, they just dont want peeps getting filthy rich off of marijuana plants.

When you come across a field of 3000 plants, is a different story then one - fifteen. Especially in terms of visual appearance and olfactory. Never have stolen weed so I wouldn't consider myself a ripper
If you knew the area.. and hiked/biked the trails as much as I have... You too would ask the question how did I manage to miss THAT

This may amaze you but private industry drills for oil not the government. They also get all the paperwork done and it's legal. Growing weed in the forest is harmful to the eco system. These people are criminals. If you want stronger regulations on oil I would be the first to sign the petition. Doesn't mean I support the Mexican cartels growing illegally outdoors though. Also the trash could be greatly reduced if we adopted incineration instead of landfills. Europe has been going this way for ages and they don't have the giant dumps we do. Problem is the clean air activists who have a hissy fit.

Not all underground growers are this disrespectful, actually of all the drug "manufacturers" marijuana and mushroom growers are the most environmentally conscious.
It sort of bugs me when transplants move here in masses and start wrecking my state, most locals know better.
NOBODY SHOULD GO TO PRISON FOR FARMINGBA PLANT, If they get fines thats great, if your going underground you don't pirate the property...well some growers in the mountains find abandoned mines and fill them with marijuana...but generally even underground growers use their own land...
It I don't believe in illegal plants, and regardless the plants were not the problem here, it was how they were being cultivated...

Well said. There is no evidence they were trashing the environment as posters have claimed. Multiple agencies means obumble's people were in on it too.
