Looks like it might be bacteria, definitelt isnt good that its so uncolonized.

How does it smell, sour?

looks like you have some kind of mold trying to eat your mushrooms before you do.

and your substrate doesn't look fully colonized.

and your holes? is that a SGFC mono hybrid? why not do standard monotub style polyfill holes?

edit: that's probably why it began fruiting before it was fully colonized.  let it colonize in a high co2 environment before giving it FAE.  use standard monotub style holes, tape them up, then stuff with polyfill when fully colonized.

Those look PE. Most people case PE. A casing isn't supposed to be 100% colonized.

OP it's bruising. It looks dry. How often are you misting?

Agreed, I made the assumption that it was uncased.

OP is it cased or not?

and tape on the outside won't prevent side pins... use a liner.

Looks like they were pinched.  Bruising. But it also looks odd

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

This looks like a bulk sub fruiting in a SGFC. Is this accurate, OP? Have you touched the fruits? It looks like they're bruised significantly. The sub itself isn't showing green so I don't think trich since trich TMK doesn't attack fruitbodies, just substrate.

It is Purple Mystics, no casing.  Havent't touched them.  I went to work and when I got back they were like that.  I know I jacked this grow up, but the real question is are they edible?:mushroom2:  And my first thought upon seeing it was dryness... Maybe it is time for me to stick to B+ and move to full size monos

They're edible.

@keeonk notice how it looks granular and sandy? That's how you can tell it's trich. His is just blue mycelium (bruised)

You've just gotta mist more.. nothing too complicated man. Also u say it isn't cased.. then I say that it looks sad and effed. Be glad you got fruits

My first thought was dryness after a long day of work, and after increasing my misting it seems to have helped.  This is my second mini mono grow, first was with B+ and was a success I'll post a link to that here: My first mini grow

I am about to take some overheads, please don't flame me.  The KSSS tub was cased, I was just trying new thing and expierementing.  The second tub is actually a mix of KSSS and the Purple Mystics (more on those later  I actually have a 3rd tub thats all PM's it looks completely colonized but very tiny pins and it just looks stuck.  I guess Ill post it too:crazy2::facepalm3:

PM's dunno what to do with these at this point.

KSSS with my experimental casing:facepalm3:

The mix of the two.

So yeah, sorry I let yall down.  Sometimes failure is the best way to learn.  And ya I obviously see the lack of pins in the middle:facepalm3:

 like I said just needs more misting lol. But in a chamber like that, you'd be misting at least twice a day. Monos block out much more fae, so they're basically set and forget.

Honestly the fc might not be ideal, but it really doesn't matter. Just keep them glistening through misting. That's the thing they need. If you can keep them glistening 24/7 through misting, you don't even a fc in under 10% humidity(another Open air grow). All problems of being dry are always from the grower not misting enough.

Keep them glistening with no pooling water!

Oh trust me they are getting their misting now.  The Purple Mystics I think are similar to PE's.  They are almost too wet gonna let them dry and see if I can get any thing out of that tub.  I though the more FAE the better? Am I taking crazy pills FML:facepalm3:

Can I at least get some props for my first try lol:
first mini

i dont think that is mold at all, that is a defintely bruised  mycelium network, its lacking either moisture in the substrate or fae issue that is stressing them out. that is a fairly dark blue, and notice that the color is saturated into the actual mushroom. trich and and molds do not show a presense below the surface. meaning that trich is a surface dwelling mold, its clearly visible that that is bruising. even the discoloration on the surfaces of the sub.

another hint that its brusing from dry substrate is the space between the tub and the spawn, it has pulled away do to mycelium eating up nutes , shrinking and drying out is also accompanied to that party. turning your fruits to discolor due to stress. there are some great fatties also so thats where all the moisture went. i wouldnt worry, let it flush out and dunk.

If it's bruising it's some odd bruising.  Even the caps don't look dry.  It very well may be bruising but when I saw this pic it reminded me of this mold that attacked my fruits a while ago...

In this pic you can see the grayish mold attacking the pins and some of the younger fruits.  In the more mature fruits it was visible in the middle of the stipe similar to the OPs pic.

The more fae the better, if you can provide the misting to keep it hydrated. You don't want to let them dry out. If you do, it doesn't matter how much fae or humidity they have.. they still need that misting. That's why it's extremely dependant on the grower.

@ everyone, it is bruising. I know it looks like it could be bad, like in fried eggs, but that isn't what op has. OP has bruised fruits and myc because he has it in a sgfc/monotub hybrid thing (deviated from the teks), and isn't misting enough lol
