Labor or Nursing

Okay shroomerites! Help me to life
I could be starting Nursing school at the end of August and I would graduate with a bachelors in December 2017 and be on my way. Perhaps starting in OR then becoming a CRNA which is a master's program requiring 1.5-2 years of OR practice and then I would make 120-130k starting. Nursing starting is like 50-60 depending what I do.
OR I can start this month at a job as a laborer doing demo/cleanup with a company that has quadrupled in size and start with 50-70k if I take overtime, paid training, medical benefits.
My whole issue is needing money now. Yet I just don't know. I have a bulging disc thing or something. It's not debilitating I mean I stand for several hours a day anyway and have helped people move without issue and I've done construction/demo work before.
Worst to worst I can see if I can tell them something came up (to nursing school) and then start up in January.
What say you?

I think nursing makes more sense if it's something you will like and is easier on the body. Especially when you get older from what I hear those types of jobs really start to wear you down as you get older. That being said I do a labor job and would not want to be a nurse.

No one can answer that for you, but I am in nursing school at the moment so feel free to ask any questions.
I can tell you it is very stressful and time consuming. There are times I wonder what the hell I got myself into. There are also times that I really enjoy what I'm doing. I guess that can be said about anything though.
With nursing you will have the opportunity to advance to more advanced degrees such as CRNA or NP and you can make decent money working while still in school.
I'm not really sure about the long term opportunities for the demo/cleanup venture.

I have a buddy whose a nurse and it's pretty physically demanding. Constantly on his feet and having to interact with patients. It's not work that I would want to do but I imagine it's less wear n tear than manual labor.

There are a LOT of factors to consider, friend.
I don't think we can know enough about you to tell you outright... But, in an ideal world, you'd do the schooling because it is a better long term goal. Life is never straight forward though.

how long have you been in school?
Is it really that difficult? I know I may have to no-life it for a while during clinicals/studying and all that. will I be able to work on the side as well? I can hardly afford school... I'm 25 years old and owe 30k to an undergrad degree I never finished. So I'm at home, and my parents will have to borrow me money to get through school I have no credit to get a private loan and they won't cosign as I make liek $200 a week from doing pre-requisite classes

A brother of a co-worker got a gig as a nurse on an oil rig. He seemed pretty happy with it. 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and probably paid pretty well.

I've been in school about five years now. When I started I had no intention of nursing and took a lot of other classes. The RN program itself is two years and you have to take various prerequisites.
As for difficulty, everyone is different. For some people it may come easier. The tests are not about regurgitating little bits of information, but more about applying concepts to situations. It can be tricky. All the options may be right, but one will be "more right".
Some people can manage working on the side. Just depends on the individual. I work one to two days a week (12 hr shifts) while in school and do full time over breaks.
Are you eligible for any grants? There is a lot of scholarship money out there, you just have to do a lot of digging to find it.
Nursing can be very strenuous physically. Running back and forth for 12 hours, having to move patients that are deadweight, and being in situations where "proper technique" isn't really an option. Just depends what area you are in.
The nice thing about nursing is that there are so many different areas. If you don't like something you can explore various options.
I use to do a lot of labor outdoors, and although I did enjoy spending time outside I certainly appreciate not being out there on these summer days.

Yeah I'll stick to nursing.
They want me to cut my long hair and I simply will not do that for a labor job that if shit fails or I get hurt, I'm back to where I am now.
Thanks y'all!
