What's in your supplements?

TONS of things on the shelves have weaseled their way past the FDA and snuck in illegal compounds into their products.
Be careful and make sure you research a product before taking it!
A list of products with illegal or banned substances in them. Legal to buy under the FDA's nose
I'm not spamming anything I just felt I need to share this info with the community. You have to put your name and email in but just put in fake info if you don't want your email on there.

Good post. I used to take a lot of supplements but the more i studied on the topic the more i realized that it's cheaper, more effective, and safer to get it from whole food sources.

I take two preworkout powders one for cardio and one for lifting.
I also take digestive enzymes, garlic, fish oil with cla.
Ive just started drinking milk instead of buying expensive ass protein powders.
I used to take a shit ton of supplements, but this is what i stick with now along side a good diet.

The diet is the hardest part for me. It's expensive as fuck trying to eat healthy! If I only go to whole foods it forces me to get decent food though.

Screw bodybuilder made in china supplements, I stick with my herbs and teas. Much stronger effects that way.
But I checked the list on that site, and I don't see too much that is scary, mostly just warnings regarding sports organizations and specific compounds being banned. DSHEA isn't illegal last time I checked, nor is higenamine.

Majority of banned substances are banned simply for the reason that they are "performance enhancing" not because they will fuck you up. That being said there are some like hormones that can damage the body IF USED IRRESPONSIBLY. If someone wants to fuck with their endocrine system have an endocrinologist monitoring you blood levels constantly. When prescribed by a professional certain ones can actually do amazing things. Just look to that tiny little fucker tom cruise. HGH. Stallone. Arnold used dianabol which is a little heavier on side effects and the dude seems to be doing just fine, would not doubt if he's getting a script now.
All this says to me is eventually some pretty bomb products will be taken off the market eventually and those that use them will have to find an alternative. Not some epidemic.

Those things are banned because they are amphetamines or steroids. Both of which I would want to know about if I was going to buy the product.

I eat a pretty bland diet, but just think of it as fuel. Youre eating for fuel for your body, and not plessure.
Stick with lean meats, vegies, fruits, healthy fats, whole grains, and a few supplements and you will lose weight. I also eat every 2 or 3 hours instead of the standard 3meals.
Oh and also if you really want to get cut eat your dinner before 7pm with a tall glass of water, and then nothing else for the night. Do that every day.
Then eat whatever you want on weekends to rev your metabolism back up, then go back to your diet.
This is what i do and i got down to low 10% body fat.

I have trouble gaining weight and not losing it so that's why I take supplements. Ideally a natural source of these compounds are ideal but it's hard for me to shop on a budget and buy the food I would need.

Yeah i mean if you keep it simple though it isnt too expensive. I spend 20-40$ on myself that lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. Like i said its pretty boring tho ill admit.
Its usually a cycle for me tho, i dont do this year round. If i knew how to cook and shit then i maybe could.

Losing weight is easy. Less calories going in then going out. Forcing myself to keep eating when I feel sick from being stuffed is the hard part. I'm too big of a cheap ass to get fat

I have trouble gaining weight as well despite eating massive amounts and never achieving satiation. Based on that and other lines of evidence I'm convinced it's SIBO but I will have that thoroughly examined in a few days. Anyways not saying that's your case, but it's not uncommon. Once you get overgrowth, unless you're very careful with what you eat, most of your food just feeds the bacteria instead of your body and perpetuates the problem. Well that's one potential outcome at least. Other people's gut flora gets them fat so it really depends on a variety of factors and the type of overgrowth. I'm like you though, eat Til it hurts
