G2G transfer ???

Ok say someone has a self made pure WBS grain myco bag with about 3/4 of a pound of colinized WBS. Now this person makes a large myco bag lets say 5 pound myco bag steralizes ect. And in a glove box he opens the very top of each bag and places the 3/4 pound of colinized WBS in the uncolinized 5 pound myco bag and seals it up and lets it colinize to make a flat cake to later be extracted from the bag and placed in a fruiting chamber and cased. Does this sound like a good idea??? Or just a possibility? thanx for the thoughts

Sounds fine, but I've found that it's a lot easier to just make sterile mycelium water with a syringe inside the bag:
Keep the mycelium as a big block and hold the bag upside-down, so there is a big block of mycelium at the top. Inject a *good amount* of sterile water into the top of the bag (now at the bottom) so the waterjust sits there. Use alcohol and clean/seal the syringe hole.
Break off a bit of mycelium from the big block and smoosh it around in the water so you have sterile mycelium water. Draw back up with a sterile syringe.
Don't let the water touch the mycelium when you inject it, or the mycelium will just absorb the water. Case the mycobag and use the sterile mycelium-water to inoc more bags.
Just what works for me. I don't like glove boxes....

This begs the question, how do I make a thread one of my favorite ones to refer to it later?

i dunno, my fish was always a big fan of g2g. granted he used jars not bags.
my fish also found out that oven bags are breathable and that your substrate would dry out if left in an oven bag, i would think the bags you are talking about are not breathable.
and on the lower left hand corner of the page is the toggle for your favorite threads.

I use the sticky part of a band-aid (sterile) and then cover that with a piece of duct tape.
