Plant ID - Climbing vine
    #22117415 - 08/20/15 04:05 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Area is central Tx, growing in a dry wooded area.

Climbing, and dense. Unripe fruit were pink and red.

Couldn't find it in any of my books.
My best guess was Cissus Incisa - Ivy Treebine

I've been enjoying wild edibles lately, and this one looks tasty. But if it's treebine then I'm out of luck.

If the leaves are kinda thick I think it's called a marine vine. Genus is Cissus perhaps whoops I see you kinda already figured out the genus

I was looking at the marine vine as a possibility at first, but the leaves didn't match. As what I found has rather thin leaves.

I'm pretty sure it's related, same genus, a type of grape ivy. No clue about divinity though, maybe the leaves but not the berries?...

I'd guess it's definitely related, thanks.

I doubt there's anything divine/entheo about it, I'm just working on my edible plant ID skills.
