I have these and don't know how to go about finding out if they have any value or not. They were my dad's as a kid and were gonna be put in a rummage sale like 10 years ago, so I grabbed em and wrapped em up and put em away. Just got em back out today for the 1st time today. Some are in rough shape. Some are metal, some plastic. Some accessories and a bunch of track. I have no clue whether they're in working order or not...
Anyone think they have a ballpark figure on value or anything?

lionel shit is worth some coin. I'm not a train expert, but i sell some shit on ebay for side money. you could try searching for the value of those specific train parts, but i would just list that shit as a bulk lot of lionel trains and accessories. probably could get between $70-$200. you'll have to check it out though, because if any of those is rare, it could be worth hundereds by itself

It's hard to say although old train sets can be quite valuable to a collector. Make sure to do research before you sell them off.

I just don't know like what "scale" they are and how to go about piecing everything together as to what's-what...
I would probably sell it as a 'lot', but need to find out what to label em as and so forth.
Thanks for the help!
I briefly browsed ebay, but a lot of what I have isn't on there (I don't think at least)

Or this
"The O-27 name comes from the size of the track's curves. A circle made of eight pieces of standard 45-degree curved O gauge track will have a 31 inches (787 mm) diameter. A circle made of 8 pieces of 45-degree curved O-27 track is smaller, with a 27 inches (686 mm) diameter."

train collecting is a big hobby. there's lots of resources on the interwebs. it would be worth it maybe to do the research, because any one of those trains could potentially be a 500 dollar payday.
Collectors are crazy and they buy some of the goofiest stuff. I'm selling a fucking doll right now for 200 bucks I sold a Disneyland purse for 80 bucks(40th anniversary)
pretty much anything collectible is worth researching before you sell it

For sure.. Thanks a lot you guys. I have a feeling these will probably be losing value over the next 10-20 years as the guys who want things from their childhood start to die off.. At least, that's my logic
