Cakes too wet?
    #22115985 - 08/20/15 09:51 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Second grow here, my first grow didn't go so well though I did have 2 cakes out of 8 give me good yields. This time around I chose to add a little more water to my BRF mix but I need to know if it's too much. Any help is appreciated.

Think it'll still colonize? Already inoculated them.

What was the point of posting mush pic here?
Anyway yeah, it looks too wet. You want a fluffy damp sand look if that makes sense.

Why did you decide to add more water this time around? If you're using the PF Tek, stick to the amount of water that the tek calls for.

For me the tek ends up making jars that look like OP.

I never measure water anymore, just do eyeball it.
Once you get it right, you don't mess up water content anymore.

Thorough understanding is better than blindly following teks.
