ski setup on craigslist... thoughts? 1

$350 for the collection of boots, bindings, skis. Apparently, the dude has used them twice. They look in great shape from the photos. I vary in shoe size between 10.5 and 11 depending on what I'm using the shoe for... I have 11 snowboard boots but probably should scale back to 10.5. Anyways, what do you think?

Don't know the first thing about skis, but I'd really look at them in person. Photos are often very deceiving. If you're a long term skier and know what to look for, then ask to meet up so you can check them out. If you don't know, Google what you should be looking for and only buy if they meet that criteria.

With my face against the floor I canโt see who knocked me out of the way. I donโt want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, Iโm too busy being calm to disappear. Iโm in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

yea, I mean skis are pretty straightforward. I don't know shit about skiing since I ride but seems like the same concept. Bindings, however, very mysterious.

Get em those are bad-ass sticks. Unless you want to be stuck on the cat track on your snowboard all season.

nice skis/boots!
They do look like new.
But, as always with craigslist, make sure the condition is as stated. When in person, look at the bottom of the skis, make sure they are not chewed up from rocks. U will see deep trenches if they are.
And ask the guy to lock the boot into the ski's bindigs. Make sure they fit correctly. Ski bindings with boots are kinda fussy, and u have to fit the bindings specific to a boot with tools. Just make sure they attach properly.
And try the boots on too With thick snowboard socks. They should be snug on your feet, not loose at all.
I say its a good deal, ask for $300, he might go for it

cool, yea I think I can handle the ski element since it seems pretty much like a smaller snowboard diagnostic wise. that's a good idea to have him lock the boots into the bindings

Yeah, skis are fun. I got into snowboarding right as double tips came out. i always wanteed to ski backward thou
Making sure the boots fit the bindings will help later when u actually want to ride.
Remember to clean the snow off your boots before reattching into the bindings while on the mountain. Any snow makes it very difficult to reattch. It can be pretty frustrating.

We can't see the specs on either of them. From the looks, they look like good boots.
The skis are a different story. They could be beat to shit and you wouldn't be able to tell from those pics. It depends on your style of skiing, they look like they might be alright beginner/intermediate skis. If you are more advanced, I wouldn't buy those without knowing more. It's probably a good deal, but you are going to want to try those boots on and wear them around for a while. There is nothing worse than a bad fitting pair of ski boots.

Skis are in perfect shape. Not a scratch on them. Boots were too small. Got the skis and bindings for 230. Not bad not bad. Im just looking for something to figure out what the fuck im doing in skis haha.

That's not bad. Keep your eyes out. But like I said. Boots are important. Find a pair that you can live with for years. Skis come and go, but a good pair of boots are key.

good set up for that price, just beware of edge cracks from rails.
boot should be close to your size but ski boots are much more unforgiving then snowboard boots, you might need to add shims or cut out some lining to help fit, and honestly it might not be comfortable either way depending on your foot shape.
bindings don't really matter as long as they are not super heavy and keep you locked in.
enjoy the switch over, skiing is much more versatile and imo skiing switch is way more fun the boarding switch.

think they were last years or the years before k2 park ski, yellow bases.
k2's are decent, they hold up pretty well.
