Finding Shrooms myself in Alaska

Out here in the interior of Alaska and I want to start learning how to hunt for shrooms myself. Found a few books online that help with this but they're more specified toward the contiental united states and have to be shipped in. This is the prime shroom hunting season up here and it usually takes 2-4 weeks for anything to ship up here anyways so that's out of the question.
I'm not interested in Fly Agaric mushrooms, they're literally everywhere up here and as for how the trip sounds, it doesn't really interest me as much as generic psilocybin mushrooms. I've already shroomed once in my life and would love to more, but forking out $50 every trip is a bit much and it would be much more satisfying anyways if I did it all myself. Nature is everywhere, so luckily I have plenty of places I can start looking, however I just don't know where to start.
(TL;DR): So in basic terms I want someone from Alaska or familiar with Interior Alaska wildlife that could hopefully give me some pointers on where to find and identify psilocybin mushrooms. If there are books that truly do go over this sort of thing for Alaska I'd happily check with the local book stores, but any help is greatly appreciated.
Also I've read to dry them out just lay them out on a newspaper and have a fan blow on them until cracker dry. Is it really that simple? If so how long should this generally take?

Wrong forum, you want the hunting/ID forum. But I don't think there are many, if any, actives that would survive AK winters. Your best bet is to grow your own.
I'm not the best mycologist though, I'm just a mushroom farmer.

Alaska Gymnopilus sp. Panaeolus cinctulus Panaeolus fimicola Psilocybe cyanescens
I can say for sure you'd probably have the best bet finding gyms and cincts, in central Alaska. I live in the Canadian prairies, and found cincts a long time ago
