Shroom Tea in the Freezer

So I've followed the advice of a poster on here and made a large batch of shroom tea and froze it (I didn't have an effective drying method so I had to do this to preserve what I had). I plan to drink some of this tea tomorrow, but now I'm wondering if I let the frozen tea melt take what I want from it and then re-freeze the rest will this cause any problems? I'm going to have to do this everytime I decide to dose from this tea so I was wondering if thawing it and re-freezing it repetitively would be an issue over time? I feel like this might be a stupid question, but I'd rather sound stupid then take the risk of ruining a large portion of super potent tea. Once I thaw it out tomorrow I'm probably going to just fill up several water bottles and freeze those instead so I don't have to thaw out the whole batch every time, but even then I still would have to re-freeze the rest of the bottles each time until they were empty just because all I need of this shit is like 4 fl oz to trip hard as hell.
Any advice is appreciated.

From my experience... thawing again and again is a BIG issue. What I'm saying is it can really lose its potency, again, this is based on experience. There are even instances when you refrigerate the resulting tea (and not freeze), you end up with tea that has no fx.
Just thaw it once and transfer to individual doses as what you said. Good luck and cheers.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions! I'm glad I asked now, I almost just rolled the dice on it, but now I'm happy I just went ahead and asked.

Just so you know, me and my buddies talked about it and they also confirmed this suspicion...
It might be that the actives' molecules breakdown with the thawing. .. or I dunno Haha who knows..

Since u dont have a drying method, maybe u would like a simple one to use in the future...
This is what i do to dry fresh-picked mushrooms.
I take an office lamp (the kind that move around like a robot) and put a 80-100 Watt incandescent bulb in it.
Then i grab a black t shirt. I place the shrooms inside the t shirt on the floor or a desk, so one layer of t shirt is on the floor/desk, the other is facing the lamp, and the shrooms sandwiched between them, with lots of spacing between each fruit. make sure the fruits are totally covered by the tshirt.
Turn the light on and point it at the t shirt straight on. Make sure theres about 8-10 inches from the t shirt surface.
leave the lamp on for a day or two.
In a day or two, your shrooms will be dry

That actually sounds like a pretty good drying method. Does it work well with large amounts? Also is there any potency loss?
When I make tea, I like to put either 1-2 doses frozen in the same container. I've never noticed potency loss that way, but it might happen if you freeze large amounts and repeatedly thaw and refreeze. Plus I imagine that to be a HUGE hassle.

Fuck yes. You can thaw it out, portion it out, and refreeze it at least several times - that's what I do. And you can keep it frozen for years (3 is my record) without it losing potency. Best though to parcel it out to smaller containers when you freeze a batch, I just save various sorts of small plastic bottles for this.
One point though - after you thaw it shake it up well before dividing it. Tea clumps up when freezing and you wouldn't want to inadvertently end up with just water ice instead of actives...

One thing I've noticed when freezing tea, is sometimes there will be these dark brown "veins" running through the ice. I've kinda suspected that it's psilocybin crystallizing, but I don't really know.

Right, I think it's just because the water freezes solid before the actives. If you were to evaporate the tea (say a frost free freezer kind of thing) you'd end up with the extract eventually. People make applejack (apple cider at high alcohol %) by evaporating cider outdoors in the winter, or so I've heard...

That's strange. I've never had that happen to me, even with having tea sit out all night in a bottle at room temp(doubt that would of lasted long that way though).
How did you store your tea?

My theory is heating converts psilocybin into psilocin hence the blue hue of tea which has a relatively unstable shelf life or life in general
