the casing layer is organic peat moss, coarse vermiculite, hydrated lime (for pH adjustment), and granular gypsum

Hmm... even then, if it's that far through a peat casing I'd say it'd good for fruiting.

I don't think that's when you're supposed to apply a casing though, for future reference.  Though if it works, can't argue..

That's where I got confused lol. I thought he was asking if it was time to apply a casing.

I'd def fruit that then, it's probably all white underneath that.

and granular gypsum (supplementing the mix with calcium and sulfur—essential elements for fruit body formation).

Yeah, deconmpressing isn't a good sign,

Can you peel it off pretty easily or is it glued on there? Does it bruise blue?
