PirateSwazey said: Guise.. Let's get real for a minute here now.. These are cubes were talking about after all. The mother fuckers are like goddamn weeds and once you know what you're doing there's not a whole lot you can do to fuck it up... If you want to grow more u don't need to clock in tons of time on trying out strains.. Just boil more water for coir, make more spawn and drill more tubs. That's always been my philosophy anyways
This reminds me of a previous life I had. I was one of the guys who came out to this god-forsaken desert (which I love and would never leave) during the poker boom. I spent a lot of time on the definitive forum for poker players. My best friend and great poker coach (who got me into meditation) said, "The things we argue about the most are the closest decisions, which rarely affect the bottom line." Are you guys talking about close decisions, and Pirate Swazey comes along and says it's just a cube? I assumed there was a noticeable difference in development and potency. Pirate Sway, are you saying there is not enough difference to matter between MS and monoculture? (Not sure I buy that any strain of cannabis is superior; a weed is a weed.)
I think I'm still a freshman who has stumbled on a master's class.
Thanks for the good stuff. After three months of reading, I haven't found any of this in one place, and Search has never been good at this kind of stuff. You guys are high-class, grade A enthusiasts. Peace.

PS--I get the feeling that if I went back to taGyo's first threads, I'd get a fast-track degree in clandestine shromery. lol

I love clones for clones! But for isolating, it makes sense to isolate while they're young and ripe

From a piece of GT. Sorry for the picture quality. My phone focuses on the lid, rather than the subject.
At three o'clock, there is a little tiny tree. Can you see it well enough to give me some education on it? It clearly is different from the rest. Is this something to grab right away and culture separately?
Thanks.

More pics and questions.
These are from a KSSS pin. Should I take the long ropy threads or the more tightly packed?

This is a BHT clone, 15 days out. (that's not bacteria, but sloppy agar prep/food coloring.) Should I separate the two parts? What's going on here?

This is the second transfer of another KSSS pin. 5 days out. Should I separate into three dishes, or wait?

Thanks for your help. I don't know what I'm looking at, yet. We're looking for the strongest growth, yes? More rhysome is better than tomentose?

Farthest along ropy section,
I see a lot of bacteria in that BHT Jar (What does BHT stand for btw?). I would transfer immediately from the farthest along edge. It looks like you have two different genetics in their and they're not playing nice.
Wait for that last transfer of KSSS for it to grow a little and see if it's a clean transfer. Sometimes bacteria shows up like a day or two after.
