So in a few months I have to take over the managers position at my work

And I definitely feel iffy about it. I have to give kids medications and shit which I feel morally against. And am taking on a bunch of work for not that much more money but if I say no I'm pretty sure they'll fire me soon. It's gotten to the point where I have to move up or move on

What kind of meds? Why are you against it? Tell them you'll take the position, but you just won't do that. That probably won't work out, but it doesn't sound like there's much you can do.

Just like sleeping medication and a bunch of other stuff. I don't really work well under pressure so I'm not so sure how this is going to go down. If I fuck up the medication in anyway I'm in deep shit

You know the situation better than us and it sounds like you want to move on I say do it. Time is more valuable than money and your wasting time there.

Maybe. But to offer another point of view: many people who are facing a challenge in their careers feel insecure or at least uncertain if they can live up to the requirements of their new position. This isn't necessarily a bad thing and it doesn't mean that it's time to give up before you've started. It's good to be critical of your own limitations and it's also good to rethink your moral views from time to time to see if your work still aligns with them. Sometimes you have to decide that a position just isn't for you, but in other instances, it's an opportunity to do the best job you can. Nobody can decide which option is the best but yourself. Good luck, in either choice you make!

Do it up dude. Someone thought you were good enough at your job to get what sounds like a promotion. Those look really good on resumes, so does time spent at a job (which helps credit scores)... Work seems to be increasingly harder to find despite "job growth". I'd dig my heels into the ground and stick it out. Just please don't go there high and kill a kid or something. You sound tentative and as if it's not off the table... rock out dude, take a managers position and see where it takes you.

I work with intellectually challenged adults and have to assist with meds everyday. It definitely was nerve racking at first but it gets to be not so bad. Idk how many meds you'd be in charge of but the house I work in has 4 clients who each take like 15-25 different meds a day each. All I can I say is don't be afraid to ask for help until you really feel confident to do it. Also I've messed up once and they were mad but nothing happened and we moved on from it pretty quickly.

Moving up is good man. You become more senior, more experienced, more valuable, to both your existing organisation and future organisations. People management, team leading and personal communication skills transfer into just about any role under the sun in just about any organisation. It's important stuff to learn.
And in doing so you open future doors for yourself, as your now not doing just the grunt work, you've gone a level above into a managerial role, where you can then leave your existing business, join another and pick up from where you left off, at that higher level. Rather then starting from the bottom and working up again.
That's why it's important to climb the ladder where ever you can, because this is how you progress and develope your career and skill set. Always climb as high as you can. Never stop and settle. Always look for the next step and work towards it.
Besides were t you all depresso before saying how you aren't doing anything? Your about to become a manager and get promoted which is doin thangs. It's all about how you spin it man... "Yeah I just got promoted", or "yeah I'm being forced to do all this extra shit and they not paying me much more"

honestly I'm really nervous but I'm going to give this one my all and really try to do good. As it sits I haven't been really doing jack shit but I'm getting pretty stoked on the idea and I'm going to try hard. Hopefully everything works out, and this might make me look even better in the eyes of my hot coworker I'm trying to get at

Ya, challenges are good mang. Keeps you on your toes. Keeps you focused. Gives you something to work towards. You learn from it and itll also probably pay dividends. It's a good thing.
Be a good manager too not a cunt. Make friends with everyone and they'll do what you say cos they want to help you. The cunt bosses get shit done with threats, but people will only do that for so long and it causes unnecessary trouble.
Hear people out too and listen to them. Speak to them on their own level in a way they understand and reason with them. Let them know your on their side kind of thing.
You'll learn a lot about dealing with people. What makes them tick. Different personality types. How best to communicate with them. Lots of stuff.
Network with people too and look for opportunities and shit

Umm Congratulation?
Gets promoted... Bitches about it... Or is it just stress due to fear of change?

You'll be fine, man. I would definitely move up and keep the job and just do what you gotta do. It might suc and be a lot of work but atleast you have a decent job and make decent money.
