If it worked a minute ago it's because I put a space between steve and rogers. Gaming dat system.
STILL CULT RELATED
Obviously a contam due to bad transfer of that tiny pin, but... I was new at agar when that was taken. It's relevant here because.. relevance is subjective.

I think they are spreading so inconsistently because it's been ranging from 72 at night and up to 90 F during the day.

I don't understand your reasoning.. just because he doesn't care about some verm in his perlite doesn't mean he's abandoning or even neglecting his cakes... what in the world does liberalism have to do with growing mushrooms?
Let me field this one at a time.
For the first question, I was kidding, meaning he neglected the cake of its verm, and abandoned the verm in the perlite.
Secondly, I checked his bad rating and the thread associated with it and liberals are his go-to group to lump people he dislikes in, so I thought I'd throw that in there for funsies too.
Also, this post is cultivation related. See? Cap mutations. Not off topic.

Also look at all that verm I neglected.
Edit: haha he ignored me too. How do these people survive if they can't handle any criticism?
When do you plan to harvest yours APE?

That APE is like 8 months old, I staggered that harvest though as they turned dark blue, some earlier.
They were tiny but prolific, so my harvests looked like this:

Some caps are turning dark. Does that mean I start to harvest?

ya, I am not even touching this one. tin foil under the lids with straight verm barrier.
Get some SFDs, RTV Silicone, and some grain. That's my only addition to your predicament.

Gee, I apologize for my inadequacy.
I need to just look into grain tek. I had read to do a layer under the lid and two on top, in some thread over a year ago and ran with it. When I read that jars need GE, I started removing the top layers. There is a verm layer on top of everything and I *think* the foil should still allow GE because of the holes from the inoculation, right?
These are the survivors of 8. The other three started smelling, so I have a long way to go in my methods! Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Yeah they'll get soft and squishy if you leave them too long. Test a few of them out with a gentle squeeze and you'll see. Harvest them too late and they'll be like little mushy rotten blueberries.

Thanks for the info. I just plucked a few dark side pins and I see what you mean. Ape seems a little tougher to get fruits from spores...

Yeah I wouldn't count on getting any viable spores unless you're A. Really fucking good at picking specimens for that, and B. Really fucking good at sterile technique enough to get a clean swab of the gills.
I have heard of people getting some completely translucent prints from APE. Sounds lucky as hell.

Either is fine. Try to keep your original MS culture stored though so you can still find more diverse clones later on, chances are you'll be milking that culture for a good few years.
