A couple days ago I posted a tray that ended up being infected with trich pretty badly. oddly the other two tray in the same tub didn't get infected however, it looks like all three trays in my other tub have gotten infected.
Does this look like the beginning stages of trich?

its def not trich, but something is going on both on the bacteria strands that turns greenish on the tips and the greyish/black stuff to the left in the pic.

Is there anything I can do about it? been searching around, seems I can either throw it out, keep it and see what it does or spray with h202 and see what it does, what would you do? half tempted to take the whole bin outside and let it fruit outside away from my "clean" room.

Hey, I was reading on another search that sometimes dark tips on mycellium is just from it being bruised. I did blot up some water droplets a couple days ago, I'm hoping that maybe it's just bruising from that >< Gonna wait another 24 hours, if it spreads/gets worse it's going out in the garage.

Yeah it looks really heavy on the water. I would not water that think till after the first flush. Chill and see what happens!

I'm about to throw in the towel on cultivating shrooms altogether at this point. Turns out the other two trays from my first run are also contaminated, growing trich from the rye seed, so it looks like the spawn is totally fucked. going off this logic the next three trays I made will eventually get trich in them too due to dirty spawn. I just don't understand how trich can contaminate spawn when in the jar it was all white and trich dies @ 30 mins in a PC and I cooked for 1 hour+. Getting ready to do a third run with the same PC tek on the rye grain, not sure if I even want to try anymore, so discouraged right now.

Don't give up, it was your first run most don't do things perfect their first time. I had many fuckups before my first fruit.
If you aren't using agar I would suggest it. I PC for 90 minutes, not starting the clock til the pressures up to 15psi. Once your grains fully colonized you can give it a shake and a couple days to see if it bounces back within a day or two. If it doesn't, the spawn is probably contaminated.
I don't remember if you said what your bulk sub was, but if it's manure try coir, verm, and gypsum. CVG is a lot harder to mess up.

Would help if you stop keeping stuff around and telling yourself it must be bruising and stuff like that when it's obviously not. That's how people reach critical mass of failure, to where you can never succeed because your house is just too damn nasty, period. Don't go there if you can help it.

I don't know how I didn't mention this before, I live in MI and as such I am a medical caregiver for cannabis. I use copious amount of Canna Coco Coir, I'm thinking my entire house is a trich cesspool before I even started cultivating shrooms.
Any suggestions on the latter?

Yikes... Yeah that could do it. It's still posssible to overcome that with good technique. Agar and SAB is all I can recommend.
