    #22107170 - 08/18/15 03:21 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:  Juneau, Alaska - found growing out of the ground beneath sticks and trees in the forest floor which is covered with moss, sticks and debris.

Gills:  Pale lavender purple, varied length - see pictures.

Stem:  Short, stubby stems, white, solid, thick.

Cap:  Varied sizes depending on age, top looks like a potato skin, one was kind of wavy.

Spore print color: Ocher brown

Bruising:  Lavender

Other information:  Some of the mushrooms seemed to have webbed gills

Yes, definitely a Cortinarius sp., reminds me of one from subgenus Phlegmacium, but I am not that familiar with Corts.

Anyway, cool find.
