we arn't part of nature because we transended above all other animals and have the ability to harness power than can change and end everything.  nothing else alive on earth can destroy the earth 100x over.  we skipped the foodchain, we are above it all, but we still have the same basic desires as all animals, greed and control, dominance, which makes us stupid dangerous monkeys that are up to no good.  it won't end until we destroy everything in the attempt to control everything, because that is our limitation and our flaw is that we'll never accept it because those in power will never willingly give it away and they've put themselves so far above the wolf pack that nobody else can reach to change it

nobody has to die, we just have to stop the mindless breeding, do a little math.  every family should have enough farm land to feed their entire family, and we should still have all the forests that we have right now untouched, and we should be creating forests all along the borderlines to our deserts.  also for whatever amount of farm land we each get, we should have an equal amount of forest next to it.  whatever number of people that comes out to, thats our goal, and we each are allowed to have 1 kid in our entire life until we meet that goal.

>we just have to stop the mindless breeding

True, that would do it. But as long as we have idiots saying gmo's are good for you, pesticides are good for you, roundup, bt toxin, etc are good for you, there is no way to fix the problem. In theory, having only one child per couple would fix the problem. But far too many have zap's attitude of you do it and I will not so no one would do  it unless it was mandatory. But then we would hear charges of discrimination from the negroes who want their traditional 6 - 10 kids.

Much of the oranic food here IS local produce from nearby farmers.

I do grow my own organic food too...

Would you rather eat cheap mass produced chemical soaked crap that has been shipped halfway around the world so people can eat their favorite stuff out of season? That is so much better and efficient

but are their fruits shit? organic fruit just sucks balls more than half the time.

and yes, i'd rather eat cheap massed produced chemical soaked food, a: wash off any chemical residue that may be left from the market (which is slim to none) and b: proceed to eat.

i admit some organic veg (and even rarer fruits, very much so) are tastier and more nutritious. but it's more expensive, it's got less availability. frankly it's good for restaurants, but just marginally useful for the average consumer to just feel good about lightening his/her wallet a bit more than usual and then "feeling" like their healthier, but only figuratively speaking. i don't find that non-organic food has any ill effects at all on me. it gets digested just fine. i could hope for all the organic food in the world to make my digestion a bigger "treat" than it already is...oh let the flatulence fly, and the dookie flow.

but i don't have colon problems. i'm fine.

:yesnod: and it all ends up being cheaper to produce, and we're able to feed all the people that are unable to tout such high ideals for their poo being so unrestrained.

Organic fruit is the shit, not shit.

You do realize chemicals soak into things right? If only all one had to do was rinse it off...

The only reason Organic food is more expensive is becouse the market for it is smaller so business's "go green" as a gimmick to charge more.

Buy some local organic produce and you will realize it can actually be cheaper when you are

A: getting the food from the source.

B: Buying larger quantities.

Plus less fuel is needed to transport the food across the world, making it much more efficient.

But then we can't export stuff for way more $ to places where it is harder to grow/ obtain. That is the main issue, people are greedy bastards.

Polycultural gardening is about as cheap as it gets. If done right all the plants will take care of each other pretty well.

If people were less greedy and cash crops were less of a thing there would be 0 problem feeding the worlds population many times over...

But you can't patent organic produce, so big corporations will do everything they can to stop that from happening.

organic fruit in large quantities rot. how are you gonna stock up for the season with fruits that will soon rot?

viable for a restaurant, but not for home.

and of course sustainable organic farming is a fine thing. there are pluses, and there are minuses to it.

i live in the country, essentially...i buy from local farmers. sometimes the produce suffers sometimes it's great. sometimes it's better to buy the "shit-chemically-doused" produce from the supermarket. just a fact.

nothing i hate more than a flat tasting or mealy produce.

I had a friend make tea from tap water once even though we have a filter. I was like "you realize there will be weird minerals in your tea right"

He looked at me and said "that is why I am boiling it"

I just walked away becouse I didn't want to be that guy and explain how retarded that is...
