Egregious Marsupial Confinement
    #22105709 - 08/18/15 08:08 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Morning friends. Just waking up. Day off today. Probably gonna do a little planting of more cacti in my garden as it is cooler and overcast today so it won't be terrible working out there. Probably go for a walk at the beach a bit later, then get some lunch and take a nap to get ready for evening Aikido class.

What are all you fine marsupials up to?

Your day sounds ideal.
I bet your cactus garden is beautiful.
Im out east so all my cacti and succulents stay cooped up inside :/

Anyways....
Im stuck at work, wrenching away.
Every once in awhile i sneak away and sit in the restroom on the shroomery hehe.

Btw how was the meteor show the other night for you?

This is an awesome classic metal instrumental I'm listening to right now. Haven't heard it in a long time. I was thinking about it after I had a pretty awesome cactus trip and the constellation Orion stood out to me a lot.

I can't wait till the days my cacti are ready to consume.  Ive never had mescaline and from what I've read of you chrisman it seems like you REALLY enjoy it.

I'm just waking up and smoking.  I may play some Dark Souls 2 today, it's my day off.

I should be getting a 1ft. Crested San Pedro cutting soon to split with a homie. I know that's not much of a dose (Though it seems like the cacti would have more weight than a standard 1ft since it's got a huge pup on the side) but I'm excited to finally give it a try.

I can't wait for my little Bridgessi to get big enough to consume. But I'm pretty attached to them as it is, I can't imagine how it'll be when they're big enough to eat! I guess that's part of the beauty of them, though. They just grow back!

Would you rather have cactus or a good ol fashion LSD trip?

Bridgesii end up growing as a many stemmed cluster as they start to mature, so it's not like you're cutting the only stem. Also are you really going to consume a crest? Seems like an odd thing to do.

I just realized that crested is not the right word. That would be an expensive trip, wouldn't it?

It's monstrosel, not crested. Or at least that's what the listing says. It doesn't really look like it

Yeah those were my first flowers aside from thelegonus and spachianus, but I kinda don't put them in the same category since they aren't active.

I don't know how you get those things to flower so much. I still haven't ever had a bridge flower and most growers agree that it's uncommon.

I'm just a boss like that man.

and honestly, I think it's just that cactus.  maybe cause it's so incredibly rootbound that all it can do it push flowers?

I need to put it in the ground, but my friends are redoing their yard so it has to wait a little bit.

Ello Poppet's!
Tippy top of the mornin to you all!

After the bars I invited some friends home to finish off the night at my place, it was fun from what I remember of it.
I was mean and wouldn't let anyone drive home last night but they are all gone now.

I'm gonna go meet my mom in a little bit for some breakfast then we will head to the hospital to visit my dad.

After that, I donno, today is an open book I'm too lazy to read!
:awesome:

LMAO. I hope they're still touring when they look like that. That's pretty good though.

Ever since I saw this photo series(probably the most heartbreaking raw depiction of what cancer patients go through that I've seen) that followed this dude with melanoma from his diagnosis to his death I've been unreasonably paranoid about skin cancer.

I don't tan(anymore), I use sunscreen everyday, no family history, and always have an eye on my skin - but the other day I found a really tiny dark bruise(which btw melanoma can look like at times) on my knee, and I can't help but think about that photo series and am watching it like a hawk. It's especially stupid because I definitely remember I banging one of my knees into a table the other day and I run into things all the time.

I'm not actually concerned, but my mind keeps jumping  to the worst case scenario alllll the time recently. I miss that whole invincibility mindset I had going on when I was young and stupid as fun.

I have to stop reading and looking up all this depressing shit at 3am and start sleeping more. Morbid curiousity is turning me into a hypochondria :tinfoil:

But srsly guys, sunscreen, use it. Skin cancer is the most common cancer among young people for a reason.

while I appreciate the concern,

i just can't do it.

it's a texture thing. feels like I'm spreading jizz all over me, and I'm not down.

I'm still relying on the whole, "young invincibility" complex

I've only gotten one really bad sunburn, and it was a few months ago from a big sunny ski tour on a big peak.

I had like second degree burns on my face

Heys guys.
Been looking at trucks all day. Hopefully I'll have one by the end of the week.
Think I'm gonna get a Ford Ranger. Probably in the range of '95 and newer.

I have a landscaping business, so it would be stupid of me to buy anything else.
Need something with a hitch that can pull trailers.
The 4L V6 Ranger seems like a solid choice for the budget I'm working on.

melanoma can lay dormant for years, decades even and then reappear/start fucking your shit up, and it can start out pretty much anywhere in/on your body - including your eye.

I don't tan easily so of course I went through a tanning salon phase when I was 18-20, but then I realized that people who are really into tanning age horribly and stopped solely because I didn't want wrinkles . I've had a few nasty sunburns in my life, nothing like 2nd degree burns, but I was pretty much grew up outside between horse back riding and being out on dive boats.

Thankyou :sun:

I'm pretty sure I don't. Actually 100% sure that bruise is a result of clumsiness. My brain just automatically goes to those places.
And yeah, I really need to stop with the doom and gloom - I just get really curious and have insomnia. I also read the news a lot and the whole 24 hour media thing really does smother you with nothing but depressing or scary news.

I should probably just try an actual book sometime soon if I can't sleep.
