Diatoms are tiny, awesome-looking creatures with exoskeletons made of glass:

They have hella cool designs, definitely some of the coolest looking plankton ever.
Anyway, diatomaceous earth is diatoms all smashed up, so the tiny glass shards get stuck in the fleas' joints and fuck their day up.

I did not know that. I knew what diatoms were but not that you could fuck a flea up with them.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what the fuck diatomaceous is but suck it up like I did the asbestos and you'll be just fine....Or we'll find out some years down the road
On a side note. I like it when you look like you're about to exterminate me.
Watch like 2 hours of daytime TV and you'll see the asbestos lawyer on there. Give him a call

You just made me spill peanut butter and bananas everywhere No context, just deal with it. It's past my bedtime.

I wouldn't think DE is worse than asbestos because I don't think it has the potential to cause cancer, it's more of a silicosis issue. It's nasty to breath though for sure. It's been used in the gardening world for a long time as a crawling insect killer and also to deter slugs. It basically has a razor sharp microcrystalline structure that tends to really fuck up insects when it gets on them. I've heard they also use it in ranching to put in cattle feed to control internal parasites.
