I'm thinking that they might be a Sparassis sp. but that's just a wild guess.

Huh, maybe eh. It is on a conifer, which I think is less likely for a sparassis species. But it may be a less likely sparassis I guess.

I saw some today again, but it was more dried up, and was about the same size, and not with bigger fans (whatever the wavy sections of sparassis sp. are called) that are seen in some of the species (S. crispa, S. spathulata...). I thought maybe those wavy fans would continue growing, but they didn't
