Question about putting cakes back into jars

Hello forum,
Long time bluelighter here and for my first post I have a question. I welcome your knowledge and I very much appreciate your time and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I just birthed 6 substrate cakes three days ago and have had them in the fruiting chamber when I got notice that I must leave town for two weeks and have no one here to take care of them.
I searched the forums and found a little info on putting them back into jars and into the fridge to halt fruiting.
I have already put each one into a size larger ball jar and poured in a bit of new vermiculite and a little mist of water. Then I put on the lids that I had used for inoculation (4 holes) and covered with foil just as they had been before birth. Since I have them in bigger jars and have added the extra vermiculite can I just leave them in the dark like they were before birth or should I put into fridge?
Again, I thank you in advance for any comments, tips or advice you might have to offer. Thanks!

I forgot to add that I dunked and rolled all cakes after birthing. I don't know if that makes any difference as to my question or not..
@bodhisatta it looks like you are suggesting I go in vitro. Is that the case? I've never done that..

putting them back in the jars is in-vitro = in-glass. you don't have to fruit with a bag over the top but yes you can put them back into the jar even after dunk and roll.

OK, thanks. But I will be gone for two weeks so when I get back do I birth again and put into fruit chamber? I don't understand how this is supposed to work...
I thought I could just let it keep colonizing but you are suggesting I do a full in vitro grow? So I just remove the tops of jars?

if you're going to be gone for two weeks and want to stall the cakes then put them in the fridge. in the jar or if you don't want to put them back in the jars put them in a sandwich bag and try to get most of the air out.
when you come back you would be wise to give them a dunk for at least a couple hours, I wouldn't re-roll unless all the verm has fallen off. and then re-fruit
I had no idea you were going to be gone. that's why a first post that's completely constructed helps if you want to fruit cakes you can fruit them right from the jar though, say you want to skip the SGFC for instance.

Ok, thanks! I understand now. I thought that I said I was leaving town in first post but I see what you mean..
Should the jars be airtight in the fridge or just use tops with holes covered with foil?
