Edit coming. Stay tuned! But, wait! There's more!

Tiny little nub, how sweet! The only issue is it's at the edge by the bottom hole. Something to watch. It's dry faster, too. I'm calling it Devon, as it's the first and might be the only.

(Cheers, Devon. You're a good egg.)
Edit: After 25 years of messing with computers, I still don't get them.

No matter what happens to me and this hobby from this point on, we feel like a success. Thank you, and good night.

From what I understand evap is a big pinning trigger. The one time I did a good casing it was straight verm only around the edge of the tub to recapture moisture from the walls. And an 1/8 - 1/4 inch dusting on top. Immediately birthed. Had heavy moisture loss from the top. Only got one flush. Too deep rooted. Too much damage. Which was no surprise considering itwas a 12 oz dry harvest. But it seemed to be a one off. Never been able to get anywhere close to that again. But I wouldn't let it get dry. Let it evap but mist to replenish.

No pic today, but I've got pins popping up like crazy so there is no chance that lonely pin is all I'm going to get. I'm pretty psyched, esp since my SGFC is pretty much toast. Just can't keep the humidity up and the cakes are bruising badly. alas
Can't wait to produce some pin porn for you fellas.

No pic again today, because these tiny pins aren't going to show up, but they are everywhere! Very psyched at the way this is going. Just not sure how moist to keep it. Humidity is a problem for me. My SGFC is pretty dead because of moisture loss. Light misting? Heavy, then let it dry out? Lack of experience means I have no feel for this. alas
The casing dries out to very light at the base of the holes, but the tub has a nice layer of condensation on the sides. Should I pull off the felt filters and try to stuff them with polyfil?

Rehydrate the perlite and no need for felt filters, I always use polyfill as do a vast majority of other cultivators. And post some pics!!

Felt is slowly becoming cooler and cooler. I'll probably stick to polyfill for a while.

Yeah, I put the SGFC in my bathtub and brought the level to even with the base of the cakes. Waiting for results.

Cake turned over to document. sheesh
As to pics, I hope by tomorrow I'll have a whole mat of pins. Then, they'll show up on a pic. Pretty excited about it, in light of the dying SGFC. alas

Does that mean it's cooling off as a filter material for monos, or all the cool kids are doing it?

Slowly being used more and more. When I first registered it was whispered around, now some growers I and respect use it with great results.
I just have a big box of polyfill

Yeah. I got a whole lot of surplus stuff. I tend to go toward the most effective, but I also love MacGyver shit and bargains.
