They look pretty good for picking...not too young, not too old...I love the flavor of these...actually, one of my top 3 favorites (flavor wise) they can get tough as they age.

Someone on another thread suggested freezing them when fresh....then thawing and cooking. I haven't tried this yet but I will the next time my oak stump fruits.
