The last three threads each had a link to pics i just oosted right now. someones said my casing kit looks grest, someone said, it looked okay but i had white bscteria in it. I am nit understandunf wgat is going on and would juts like some sound advice please. The tray has verm on top of thr mycelium. it has had some myscelium grow ontop of the mold. i just hought that this was knotting or something likr that but onr person said its whute bacterua and now im all paranoid again.... What is it???? By the way, there are holes in the bag so its getting plenty of fae snd im onky misting niw when need be. So there is no excess misting going on. the casing smeels good...like an earthy vermiculite smell. Doesnt smell sour or like bscteria. but now im kind of wrried, what do i do.????????????? Please respond fast, sorry if thr pics arent the best qualit but i tried...please look at all three of them.

Listen to cron and space man. Still water attracts bacteria, and unless it gets evaporated it'll just fuck it all up. Just up the fae more brotha. Don't mist them do heavily. My motto will always be it's better to mist not enough and have to mist 3 hours later, over misting too much and have to wait a day for it to dry up

Hey guys, good news. mad season and crohn you are both right. DID I FORGET TO MENTION ITS PENIS ENVY? I HAVE HEARD OF PENIS ENVY VLOVVING BFORE. PERSONALLY KNOW OF SOME FRIENDS WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE WEIRD BLOBS. So anyway i barely misted at all yestersay and none today, i put it into the light to check on it and it seemed dry and lo and behold a nice big fat pin. and it was coming out of one of the blobs...there are also a few more pins ina and around other blobs but thry sre vdry tiny as we speak.
so what do i do now???????????? Mist? Mist on thr substrate? Mist and fan lightly or what? Further jnsgructions needed. Btw ive had penis envy pins before snd thid onr in thd picture looks good so far!!! Lets hope for lots more!!

Hi guys, just an update... well it is starting to fruit. i laid off the misting too much, im misting a little in the mirning followed by fanning and same at night....i have three big pins that look like they are growing into shrooms, just to start....im not sure about primirdia because penis envy is kind of hard to tell....but i can tell you guys one thing....the ehite stuff on the casing is not bacterial. I believe it to be aerial mycellium or blobbing from the PE. 2 of the fat pins are growing directly out of it. This morning i woke up to find a newbie so slowely but surely its working. my biggest thanks to those of of you who are helping and keeping me calm and not telling me to throw it away etc..., thankyou.

Update again. .... after coming home tonight to a darkened house, i turned on the kitchen light there and inspected the grow kit outside of the bag for about 10 minutes. Of course, my hands and arms were washed and everything was great. Better too!!! There were MORE PINS!!!!!! YAY. The other pins are starting to look like small shrooms. im just trying to let them go and keeeeeeep growing like they will! I have confidence in the strong PE!!!!

Question.....someof my pins are growing up the case, some are in thr middle growing up, but there are a few that are growing sideways along the side of the box......i know abut side pinning. But generally, is there anything i can do about it? If i put the tray inside a box with the top shoing then it will still get light on the top and they will grow upwards right? Also, if i do that then will thr side fruits die? Will thry grow upright?any info please would help, thanks guys!

What i was trying to say above was... if i place the tray in a box that has the sides covered then will those side pinners start growing up towards the light???? Or are the doomed the grow sideways? Also when they fully mature, whats the best way to harvest them with out messing with my substrate...i imagine they can grow pretty big right??????? is it possible to take out the sub in the grow kit and just hsve them grow inside the bag without the tray anymore? Curioud

Spacechildo, with much do respect.... honestly no harm intended. The kit was wasnt fucked up. the kit is producing fruits and thats all i wanted it to do. Its doing a good job. The instructions that came with it are fucked up. we fixedthat with everyones help on here and some patiience. Most people get side pins, even if they areexperienced growers. Im just asking what to do about them? Should i just let them grow and then harvest them after the first flush?????

I have grown one great tub of PE so I am nowhere near an expert but an expert taught me how to grow PE.
After the substrate is colonized I left it for another 4 days I think it was. Then I pasteurized two quarts of jiffy mix and spread a 1/4" layer on top. Let it consume 3/4 of the casing (although mine consumed the whole thing when put into fruiting conditions)and then give it air and light (12 on 12 off is what I do). I had not one blob to speak of.
Also, make sure your substrate is level as fuck and you don't have to use a liner. I also had ZERO side pins this way but I think I got lucky.
