Hey ya'll, I just got back from a trip to India, it was my first time. I saw clusters of ?San Pedros? in the University I was staying at.
What do you all think?

Extra: I found so many Datura plants as well, I couldn't find any with dried pods unfortunately.

Visiting a Hindu temple in the mountains

Some Animals in Ladnun, the dog was incredibly sweet

Nearby Hanuman temple

Back in Delhi: SHiva's garden at the Iskon temple

A Muslim market in Delhi, the food was incredible
-------------------- December 1960: "They took the drug one evening at Leary's house and had a profound experience, during which Ginsburg prophetically realized that it was a time to start "a peace and love movement". He then ran naked around the house, attempted to get Kruschev and Kennedy on the telephone and announced to the operator that he was God."

the shape of the ribs and the spine formation...I am inclined to agree it is not a pedro...but I do not know enough to hazard a guess.

What a cool thread. I'm enjoying the pictures and I agree with the id's above. There's also some Tephrocactus and Gymnocalycium's in that picture too.

Thank you for sharing those photos! How long were you traveling? Any suggestions of things to do and or avoid?

Thanks for sharing. Did you see any wild Cannabis spp. or Psilocybe spp. while you were over there?

Thank you, I will post more soon, I have been very busy with school >_<
I was there for almost 4 weeks, 3 of which were spent studying Jainism.
Suggestions? For long distances, learn about the train paths, I spent $380 dollars for a 10 hour taxi ride to my location, on the way back to Delhi, I paid $8 for a train ride haha..The tickets are bought online so no need to grease palms.
Inside the cities, the main mode of transport is Taxi, and Tuk-Tuk's, familiarize yourself with the local prices (usually a 1-5 bucks) and ask for prices before riding.
Price gouging is going to happen so its good to have an Indian friend. Indian tours are also relatively cheap, my friend uses Travology.
As far as fun time, i hear Goa is beautttiful. I was in Rajasthan which has many small rural towns, the landscape is amazing but there's little going on. Delhi has everything you can imagine but the prices are just a little less then US. I hear there are legal Bhang shops in Jaipur and Varanasi, I never got close to one :/
If you're looking for places to visit I would look for an India travel guide online. I would definitely wouldn't stay in Delhi for more than a day or two. India has sooo many options
After visiting a few landmarks in Delhi, I realized it wasn't my thing haha. In Delhi go to the Nizamuddin Market, a Muslim market with amazing food.
If you want to buy some gifts and to have a little bit of western food nostalgia, head to the Khan Market in Delhi, its US prices but the gift stores there has nice cheap stuff you can take home for friends.
Sorry for being all over the place

Nope, though my taxi driver tried selling me this dirt weed for $20
