Drying Inside Vs. Outside

So just plucked some. Debating on if it's better to dry it inside or outside. What do you think? I live I'm a place that's going to be 111° F avg. With 24% humidity. What's better. I'd wrap them in paper towels and make them basically sealed shut.

Inside on a fan for 24 hours then calcium chloride in complete darkness is the way to go.

Calcium Chloride. That's a new word for me. Care to explain I've been fan drying. Researching now.

well if you're doing the 24-48 hr fan route, I highly recommend drying the last bit in an oven. Lowest setting. Around half an hour-1 hour.
The desiccant (calcium chloride) is best used for storage. In an airtight container/jar.

no, it keeps your mushrooms dry as a crisp. heat + air movement is the best/fastest way to dry mushrooms.

Dehydrator set to 150-170F is no1 best way takes 12-24hrs
Fan dry for 24-48h then use CC to finish them to cracker dry. No2 way
You can't use CC unless they're nearly cracker dry. CC is really for keeping dry shit dry.

You have no idea. I ride a '95 Kawasaki Voyager 1200, and wonder if this is going to be the day I turn into a human torch on the e-way. I love living in the desert, but sometimes, boy...!

My question to everyone is why cracker dry? Best potency to weight ratio? Or just easier to consume?

Accurate dosing too. But if they're not cracker dry they will either spoil or degrade. H2O is the key to degradation. Autolyzed hyphae in the fruit spill out enzymes that will lead to inferior shrooms if left wet too long after harvest.
