    #22101137 - 08/17/15 12:24 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Hi all

Im moving to London in a few weeks and i have had a look for yoga teachers/groops and read reviews on trpadvisor...im very  confused wth the reviews, seems to  be hard to discrn which groups are genuinely good by the reviews.

can anyone personally recommend any yoga/meditation schools or groups? I wont know many people n london and im really looking for find a community of likle minded people to mix with as well as attending to my own spirtula needs.

Any recommendaions? I will be moving to west london but im willing to travel across london for any geninely good groups or people

thanks

I know of one teacher, mooji, who often does satsangs in London. I actually just visited his website and apparently he'll be there in November.. He's a pretty cool dude, I attended one of his satsangs a couple years back, but it was through live feed, but he gave a live meditation session and I gotta admit it was pretty relaxing, it was especially more effective with a group of people. Anyway I'm sure it'd be pretty interesting being there in person.

I know the city well and can offer some useful insight and suggestions. However would you care to retract the following statement before I do?

Can you say which zone in west London you'll be living? That makes a difference considering Heathrow is about an hour outside of the city center. The tube may be a bit of a bother from that distance. And what in mind were you looking to study? There is a large community of Sikhs and Krishna devotees. If you get a chance, you should check out the Bhaktivedanta Manor right outside the city near Watford. There is a garden dedicated to George Harrison.

There are a number of Kundalini, Bhakti, Hatha and Tantra (go figure) yoga courses and seminars. You could probably find other studies if you searched. A lot of music therapy too with gong baths and singing bowls.
