 Perlite users: How often do you fan?

just wondering. I think I fan too much, like 3-4 times a day.
Also I cant seem to get the humid. higher than the mid 90's any suggestions?

90's is ok..
you don't need to fan that much... like once a day is fine.. even less is ok!
with casings,,, you don't need to fan at all if you do it right! ( like a glad garbage bag loosely over rubbermaid container!

I'm not sure than you can fan too much. I fan all my stuff whenever I happen to be walking by...maybe 5 or 6 times a day and then I mist everything too so that the lost humidity can be built back up.

I wouldn't worry about fanning to much. Perlite puts off a lot of humidification.

No fanning at all makes cakes and casings pinning harder. Lack of fresh air gives small mushrooms. Lack of air exchange makes it easier for contams to colonize your casing layer.
Finally, optimal air exchange for cubensis was set to 3 to 4 air exchange an hour. So don't be afraid of fanning.

Hmm.. well there fish.. i have done my homework!
Personally i've found that fanning too often dries things out, and introduces dirty/contamed air.
Very low air exchange tends to give small caps, and long lanky shrooms, nothing wrong with deformed mushies, they do the trick just fine!
mind you this mainly applies to casings, i have not done many cakes, they suck in my opinion.
I should have been more precise, about the fanning thing tho.. once the casing is made, and left to colonize ( alum trays with alum foil cover for aprox 5 days )
open foil lid, case with coco/verm/oystershelll, cover again with fresh foil. leave for aprox 3 days, patch, and wait 2 days or so.
the foil cover is removed and tray placed in CLEAN rubbermaid bin, i simply place a NEW and CLEAN blue semi-transparent recycling glad garbage bag over the bin and leave it be until pins appear!
once you get pins THEN you can fan a few times a day until pins mature, harvest within 24 hrs, scrape casing layer, re-aply more coco/verm ( saturated and microwaved for 10 minutes ) and water down the casing to re-plenish the water in the casing.... and the cycle goes again...
that's how POOPS does it! and it works!

WHATEVER!
oxygen helps keep things clean!, so does light!, and then you CAN MIST MORE.
I noticed a VERY cool difference once I got 24\7 air going

great saying , but contams and shitty growth is not the road I choose to travel thanks 
I have treated my cakes poorly with little fanning before and I have seen the results , now that I have moved on to casings I found it funny how FAST my shrooms seemed to grow after the addition of 24\7 air.

NO NO NO
And I am not making a POD, just wanted to know about the hydrotron balls dude.
I ADDED a fish pump to my SMALL rebermaid with perlite and was amazed at the growth, which may have not been from air, it could just have been odd timing , but it SEEMED that after the 24\7 air, I wasent waiting as long for fruits to mature.
The hydroballs are for the new BIG container(not set up yet) , thanks for the help by the way.
