No offense dude, I know you're more experienced and all, but can you just say it here and not make me sift through a bunch of angry internet banter?

i just skimmed through that tek. some parts are pretty ate up for sure.
like space said look through franks monotub thread. you dont need to do the whole 12 step thing but if you wanna do an easy bulk grow then get 6 qts of grain spawn started, then build a monotub the way frank does. 66qt with the same hole setup and poly fil stuffing technique. when your grains are ready get a brick of coco coir and 2 qts of verm with a handful of gypsum. 'bucket tek' that let it cool and mix together. you really cant go wrong with that system there.
there is stuff you can do along the way to better your results but thats basically all you need to know to grow mad mushrooms. a monotub

i'd recommend listening to space on this one I just checked that thread out and its garbage you want constant passive FAE you can still use the tubs as dub tubs if you already acquired them just make them mono style as in holes stuffed with polyfill heres a link http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20496710#20496710 about halfway down eatualive posted some pics of various tubs including a 6qt dub tub. cubes don't need a casing a wax paper casing is far from a requirement 90% of all my tubs are un-cased and they pin just fine I think that wax paper casing came from a quick fix for tubs that won't pin due to bad conditions from poor tub design i.e that link you posted.... I hope you the best bro welcome to the shroomery

Okay, so with the materials I have, I was going to do these small tubs and toss them in this bigger container, toss another container on top, of course putting in FAE holes, I guess I forgot to mention that. I really liked Pasty's methods, they seem closer to what I'm looking to do. I was gonna chop out the top of the top tub to use a single sheet of plastic wrap so light could more easily penetrate, but now that I think about it, that might just seem silly.

Bird seed, coir and spores, casing or not, can I expect anything well? I don't want to present myself as the stubborn new guy, but I'd still like to try a rip off of the original tek I linked just to try it, just to have actually done it and tested it, don't think I haven't been reviewing these things you guys are giving me, very helpful actually.

You can either fruit those dubtub style with the 2 smaller ones stacked on eachother, in a giant dubtub which I guess is what you are thinking...? In a SGFC or my favorite, a monotub. Just make a monotub and put the substrates right in it. Make sure they cover the majority of the bottom of the tub. It acts as 1 full sub even though it's separated into multiple trays.

he is using 4 tablespoons of hydrated lime for 1 qt of peat…. thats enough lime to pasteurize several qts of straw for one tub man. easy up on the lime.

If I prepared everything just like he did, but only spawned wbs to coir (no coffee) at a 1.5:2 ratio, and had no casing or at least wax paper (if I don't need it then wouldn't it not hurt to have it? If it's a no-no please correct me), and with a better fruiting chamber, could I expect anything at all? Like i said, I'm not really looking to make this a constant hobby, it's really just for the fuck of it, with as few supplies/money going into it.
