Wish I could eat it right now but I have to play responsible adult today. Hopefully I will get to tune into munchkin land here in a month or so.

Thanks. I actually was able to track growth during the day yesterday because of the mutant next to the mushroom. The edge of the cap was touching the mutant and every hour or so, I would gage it's growth by how much further the cap grew along the mutant. The direction that cap was growing was toward the light and the light was put super close to those muda bottle hybrid fruiting chambers which I have on the top shelf above my monos.

that is the one I'm talking about!Quote:
blindingleaf said: i mean, still fruit em, cause u might get something, and i don't see any clean ones in there (no offense) so its not gonna spread. i would just lay off on misting the tray, maybe once a day or so
I'm not sure if it could spread to the other chambers.

Fruiting is not sterilie. So mold spores land on your cakes all the time in an SGFC. The reason this is okay is because their is nothing for the mold to grow on as the mycelium has a thorough hold on the substrate prior to first flush. We don't recommend rolling on the second flush because the microclimate helps mold spores germinate on the weakened mycelial network.
So mold CAN spread but it's not like if you have two cakes in an SGFC and one gets a mold and you take it out the other one is fucked.

Ok so that one might be screwed but the others might be ok. The blue one, wouldn't come out of the jar I had to smash the jar to get it out so it put a big cut in the cake and it turned blue immediately

This started off small and I came back to find it had suddenly gotten really thick about 10mm up from the base, it doesn't even really taper outwards, just suddenly is thick and looks like its cut and grafted onto a small base

This is the last shroom that grew off that mini cake, the total opposite, big fat ass base.

Blue is bruising. Comes from being too dry or rough handling so that makes sense. The blueing is caused by a degradation of the actives, specifically Psilocybin IIRC. In the wild if you pick a mushroom and it bruises blue, it's a good chance it's a psych. Still get it ID'ed though

Old spawn jar with risidual myc growth, so I threw some soil, verm, poo in there. Nothing sterile/ pasteurized. B+ most likely.
