Poly-Fill VS Easy-Felt

I have just introduced a mono-tub to fruiting conditions and have a question. Hopefully someone has tried this and can give me their results. I was reading the forums on here and ran across a post where someone used easy felt on their tub. It seems it would look much "cleaner" than poly-fill sticking from the holes.
I was curious as to how well it would work by covering the holes in the mono-tub with the felt. Will one layer breathe easier?
I live in a fairly warm and humid climate for the most part and humidity does not seem to be a big issue.

Go with the poly-fill. Not sure what you mean by "cleaner", but it works just fine. Poly-fill can hold the humidity you need as well as let air flow through for FAE.
I feel like the easy-felt could prevent adequate FAE.

Cleaner as in the polly fill sticking out. The felt is cut in circles and lays flat to the surface

Poly-fill is great because depending on how much you use per hole, it is easier to control FAE. With the easy-felt you are stuck with one option, unless of course you stretch the felt to allow more air flow.
idk, i would just go with what has worked for many, poly-fill.

I've used 4 layers of felt per hole in circle shapes and had a fan. It worked pretty well. You can use 1 layer without a fan though and it shouldn't dry out, especially in a humid climate. I haven't experimented too much with ez felt, but I have done a few tubs that way. I'm going to dial them in and throw away all my polyfil I hate that shit lol. Or save some for the top holes, those are nice to be able to adjust. I had some trouble getting this one dialed but it still produced pretty well, was just staggered.

i tried it and liked it, but it was hard to keep on the tubs. it wouldn't stick to the duct tape, so it was a little loose. and i didn't want to permanently attach it in case i changed my mind, but it works well if u get the thickness right

good idea, messing around with duct tape can be a pain in the ass. especially when the glue residue is left on the tubs.

Most of my tubs generally stagger...I've played around with trying to dial it in with the same results. They tend to just keep pinning with no specific number of flushes. I'm not disappointed in any of them for the most part. I would love to be able to get them to pin and grow in unison tho.

I tried using easy felt, but I melted it on and that was a bad idea. I've gotten good at neatly balling up poly, so I don't think I'll ever switch from that.

I made SFD out of low loft poly quilt batting. Seems to work fine on monos. Some adjustment may be required related to the thickness. Maybe extra holes. You must adjust with more holes since the thickness adjustments are quantum. I prefer that though, that way I know exactly how much of an adjustment I'm make.
Also you can open up extra holes only during fruiting after a nice humid pinning.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

This is what I used to do. Nice clean in out and can use them again without all the trouble of trying to get the pollyfill just right. Looks tidy to!

Sorry didnt realize the pictures were gone. Basically tape polly fill into a sausage using sticky tape. Cram it in tight!
