there shouldnt be any need to fan a sgfc, it has so many holes and great fae the only thing you need to worry about is misting when it looks dry.
if the mushrooms start to dry and crack you can add more perlite, or if you feel you're misting too often to your liking.

If your fanning without misting first your fanning too much. Like space said fanning in a good FAE environment is not ever really neccessary. I don't fan anything. Fanning is some bs that noobs thought could replace FAE and it spread like wildfire.

Do you have holes in the bottom? Are you away from walls?

It is literally an exact standard sgfc built to exact specs of one of the popular how to build sgfc stickies....About 4" of damp washed perlite. Holes in all six sides. Raised off the ground by 4x8oz ball jars.

Yes to holes on the bottom, it is about a foot away from one wall... Should I move it more toward the center of the room??

I fan it like ten times a day...but always make sure the cakes are glistening, as well as the casing....I

I think the SGFC instructions call specifically for not running a fan in the room, if I'm not mistaken. It helps if it's a larger room though.

Can anyone chime in on this for sure, I occasionally run a heater in the room (opposite corner, of the room to warm it up.

If the temp is between 65-79f you don't need a heater.
Also inocule knows what he is talking about. Listen to him.

It's because I don't have pictures of mushrooms as my avatar or sig. I notice nobody thinks you're an ego trip ever since you pulled the scarface avatar Pasty.

well fanning 10 times a day seems a bit excessive so i would stop doing that. and yea a fan in the room messes up the air currents in the room.

just let it sit in the middle of the room, elevated off any surfaces, the basic principles of the SGFC is a good read.

I truly hate the PF Tek. It rarely produces great results and it's a PITA.
If you don't have a PC you can still use cakes as spawn to do a monotub, and you'll get good results without the fun of drilling 700 holes in a fragile plastic tub. You might look into that, if you're not satisfied with your yield.
