G'day Shroomery,
I've been out hiking in the forest a bit lately and have come across a few species of mushrooms I'd like identified. Any help would be appreciated. Also any tips for a better ID thread.
Species #1:

Habitat: Found growing from the ground in a pine forest in the Barossa Valley, SA, Australia.
Gills: White coloured gills.
Stem: 2-6mm Diameter, 18-44mm Length, White at the top Brown towards the bottom, hollow.
Cap: 10-50mm Diameter, Average 25mm; Brown colour, lighter in the centre; A few Conical, but mostly flat to concave,
Spore print colour: Crisp White
Bruising: No colour change observed.
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply,
Care to elaborate? I take it because of the lack of bruising, but is there anything else? I'm new to this.
Cheers.

Your mushrooms are Rhodocollybia butyracea, or something quite similar. They're common in Pinus radiata plantations. Sometimes called Butter Caps on account of their cap colour, at times.
You wont find the mushrooms mrbart4444 pointed out, as they don't grow in South Australia. You should research Psilocybe subaeruginosa, because they're the ones that grow in your State, and read the Official SA thread. Which will give you lots of pictures to look at, plus tips etc.
