What's wrong with this cake??
    #22097274 - 08/16/15 01:42 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

So this cake is still pinning, but it's got some funky colors. Like a blueish yellowish coloring in spots. My other cakes look fine, but this one I'm thinking is contam'ed or something? It doesn't smell like anything and it's still putting out shrooms so I'm hoping a wiser cultivator could enlighten me here:

I don't mind throwing it away. I just want to make sure I should before throwing out a cake that might be good still.

So it doesn't look contaminated? I honestly didn't think it was, but I felt it was best to post on here to make sure. The last thing I need is one contam'ed cake ruining the rest of em.

Did it owe you money?

Because it definitely looks like you beat it as if it did.

It looks crazy dry. Get it wet. Directly mist that thing with water. 4 times a day, get it hydrated.

I bet you have read that misting a cake is okay also. But you choose to remember the the other.
If misting a cake can cause bruising, then dunking a cake must kill it?
Mushrooms need rain fall or very high humidity.

people do tend to remember strange things sometimes.

i would dunk that cake or sit it in a saucer with water for a while and mist it as well

lol, and incubating in a TiT with a fish tank heater keeping your jars at an intense 86 or whatever degrees. luckily my heater never did work right and therefore my cakes survived. that was a good 12 years ago or something
