living forever sounds good, but would suck. Ever if your body didn't break down, there is a high chance your mind would begin to.

Plus if you're the only one living forever, time will seem to go faster and faster, relationships and people will become meaningless. And everyone you know and love will die before your eyes.

You can't do something as simple a spell "virgin" correctly, so I choose to believe that what you believe is bullshit.  Perhaps that kombucha crap is rotting your brain.

I realize all that . But very very few people
My age are as healthy as I am, and the fact that age is going to wear
Me down is exactly why I take good care of myself. It's all about minimizing aging problems through lifestyle .

Me at 60 with a shitty lifestyle would be drastically worse off then me at 60 with an awesome lifestyle .

You need yoga zappa. Badly. It's not too late.

I'm actually in better shape than almost everybody my age that I know.  Except for the tinnitis thing.  I blame Iggy Pop.

Health span is more important than lifespan. Would you want to live to be 100 and be in a wheelchair the rest of your life or live to be 80 in perfect health? How about live to 110 and be in pain all the time? Not so appealing, is it?

The typical American diet is what is causing most problems, eating trans fats, high fructose corn sweetener, chemical additives like msg, aspartame, etc. And eating too damn much. Actually, many of the things I mentioned tend to cause obesity.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

Indeed. I had to have a coronary triple-bypass at 42, thanks to messed up genes. :frown: And as the axiom goes: "entropy always increases".

I figure that in a few years, I'll be able to upload my mind to a hard drive and back it up. Then, I'll get a robotic body and hopefully they design some virtual drugs. Then, I'll live forever.

Nah, realistically, I won't see 2070. I'm already too old and given my family history, I'll be lucky to see 2050.

Who knows how long this body I'm in will survive?
I certainly don't.

I'm excited to jump into the abyss.

I'm okay with not making it to 2070.  I'm 33 right now.  2070 puts me close to 90 and I really don't want to live that long.  I'm ready to go when my number gets called.
