i feel like my polyfill was too tight through out most of the first flush, and my substrate dried out too early. hopefully next flush will be better after these guys are done in the next few days.

Harvest as the cap starts to open one at a time. Grab the base and twist. If it comes out easy without a chunk of substrate you can keep doing that. If not get the scissors and cut them as close to the sub as possible. The stumps fuzz up and revert back to myc.

I noticed a spot of trich yesterday so i put salt paste over it all around ht small trick ares about the size of a nickle. a day later it had spread out of the salt, so i cut my losses

here are my largest fruits

the tub is out side dunked awaiting to be buried in a hole i just dug outside under some oak trees, i have access to hpoo and hay/straw im not sure which, also dried grass clippings if need be. does the hpoo or grass/straw/hay need pasteurizing?

Hpoo does and is finicky but if you can get it to work it will produce great mushrooms
